Chapter 9

Reign

"Well pick up your phone"  I tell Josh

He nods and answers.

"Hey dad, am on a date, mind calling back later?" He says into the phone

"Yes, he's absolutely gorgeous. Not now dad, but you can meet him soon, bye love you"  he says and hangs up.

"That was fast, my parents are outrageous on phone, they will make you talk to all the twins" I tell him frowning

"I would really love to meet your siblings and maybe your parents sometime" Josh says smiling at me.

"Well, they are pretty busy, so we have to kind of check their schedules" I tell him

"Right! Meeting you someone can easily forget how wealthy your parents really are, I mean Ryan was a billionaire way back and Vic is now a millionaire" he says laughing

"I guess but we are really your ordinary family" I tell him

"I really loved today" he says taking my hands in his.

"Me too" I tell him leaning in for a soft kiss. My heart flutters and I smile at him as he smiles back at me.
We say our goodbyes and leave. I go home all giddy and flushed. I really like Josh more than i imagined.

After my amazing date with Josh, I went back home and found my parents back. The whole house was back to chaos with the twinnies around. My parents were meeting the surrogate today to check up on her.
And they left me with the horrible twins so I invited my friends Maryse and Arthur to come help me, of course after bribing them with my papa's food and come on, a billionaire's house had so many pros. There was a pool, jacuzzi, basket court and what not.

After unsuccessfully chasing the kids around for about thirty minutes, my friends finally arrive and I am too excited to see them.
I turn and see Arthur, Maryse and....
Is that Tatya?
She looked amazing in her jeans and crop top.

"Hey!" They say to me coming towards the house.

"Thank God your here! Grab any kid you see" I tell them as we spread out to grab them

"Why are we grabbing them?" Maryse asks running after the older twins who think this is all just a game. They are running and screaming their heads off!

"To have lunch" I say grabbing Keith as they round up little Vic, Ryan and Kellan.
After we have them all, we all go to the patio and sit at the outside dining area which has some comfy seats and there is a semi kitchen with a grill and a fridge.

After everyone is seated. The chef brings lots of food and drinks. The kids clap excitedly as we dish them out food.
We all sit down eating as we chat,

"So Reign, how's Josh?" Maryse asks me winking

"He's good" I say and blush

"Who's Josh?" Tatya asks

"Reign's boyfriend" Arthur shouts

"Nooo! He hasn't asked me yet" reply

"Excuse me" Tatya says pushing her plate and going to the bathroom

"What's her problem?" I ask

"She likes you" Maryse says

"Oh! Damn" I say

I just thought she was being flirty! I didn't know she actually liked me.  I know I kind of liked her, I didn't know she was that serious.

I look up and she's back looking like nothing happened at all. I look away not knowing what to say at this particular moment.

"We finished our food" the kids say showing me their empty plates.
We help them clean up and put them to sleep for their afternoon nap.

My friends hang out with us and Tatya seemingly more cordial with me. She was back to being super touchy and flirty. Later in the evening, they leave.

I sit in the living room having juice while texting Josh the entire time.

An hour later, my parents return from visiting bianca.

"Hey !" I tell them as they come and give me hugs. Dad sits down next to me while Papa sits on the arm rest.

"Reign, how were the kids?" Dad asks

"Pandemonium as usual, they took a nap and now they are in the playroom" I tell them

"Ha! How did you manage that?" Papa asks

"I had friends over. How was the visit? How is the baby?" I ask

"That's the funny thing! We went to the hospital and waited for over an hour and she didn't turn up!" Dad says

"What? Why?" I ask
That was very unsettling to hear.

"Then she called and said we should go to her place she had made a home appointment instead" Papa says frowning

"Something about it rubs me wrong" Dad says

"Oh come on Ryan, you're over thinking it! She forgot that she had made a home appointment instead, pregnant people can be forgetful" Papa says

"Seems to me like she didn't want to go to hospital, but why?" I ask

"You see it too Reign right? Your Papa is just excited about the baby he ignores everything else" Dad says

"Sue me"  Papa says looking into dad's eyes

"Maybe I will, you're just lucky I adore you" Dad says

"Coward! I am going to check on my kids" he says going to the playroom

I turn to my dad.

"I just have a weird feeling about all this" I say to him

"Same here" he replies

"Can you just have someone look into it anyway" I ask

"Sure son, now what's this I hear about dates and stuff?" I ask

"I swear you and Dad are so nosy!" I groan

"Hey! We just want to watch out for you" Papa says rejoining us

"You will meet him soon" I say

"At least tell us something about him" dad coaxes me

"Okay fine! He's hot and his Dad is a doctor...." I say

"Wooow okay, can't wait to meet him" Papa says

"Yeah, soon or we'll ground you" Dad says

'That is so unfair! " I protest as they leave to go prepare for dinner

They can't be serious! That's some serious blackmail. But oh well, they have to meet anyway. Then I remember the taken aback look on Doctor Evans face when he heard my name.

Why did he react like that? Did he know me or something?
