DARRIN POV It was the weekend. I had gotten through the whole first week of school without any problems. I've been kinda distant from my pops. My mom hasn't been home since Monday. She's barely talking to anyone besides me, O and Yara. Pops wanted to go out for breakfast just me and him so we could talk. It crazy how attached I am to them already. I just wish they would fix this and talk to each other but moms ain't having it. The driver side door opened and I looked up from my phone and sighed
"Still holding a grudge? We might as well talk this out before we even leave the driveway if you gonna be silent the whole time"
"What is there to talk about? Get mom back to the house"
"Don't you think I tried?? She pulled the tracker out her car and keys. She's blocked my number and blocked me on all the social media accounts I made. Shit I made 5 Instagram accounts fucking with her and each of them got block, plus 3 Snapchat accounts"
"Why'd you put your hands on her pops" I hung my head
"Mane I didn't mean to Darrin. I wasn't in my right mind -"
"Obviously" I mumbled
"Ima let that slick shit slide. But I want you too know that I would never purposely hurt her. I understand why both y'all are mad at me and I apologize. I know how close we've gotten and how your use to having us all together and I'm tryna fix it"
"Was mom really gonna shoot you?"
"I hope not, but I know she would've if she had too. I just want you too understand that I wouldn't hurt you or her on purpose no matter what we go through. I wouldn't hurt anyone that's in that house....unless it's for a valid reason. But you and ya mom? Never. It'll never happen again"
I nodded and put on my seatbelt "do you know where she is?"
"Nope do you?" He looked at me
"No but I could ask" I pulled out my phone and FaceTimed her
"How I look??" She said soon as she picked out then posed

"Look at you looking how you looking" I hyped her up and seen my pops looking at my phone from the corner of my eyes "Where you going tho?" I heard her grab her keys
"There's something I need to do" she looked at me
"Something like what?"
"I gotta go check on some information. I've been looking into something recently and I think I'm close" she smiled
"You seem excited. Love seeing your smile mom. Can I know what your working on?"

"Mom that name is gay" pops nudged me and I winced and rubbed my side
"Where you going tho. You in a car. Who you with?" I seen my dad shaking his head no so I lied
