For those who might be unfamiliar to what this is, this is the literary interpretation of the story behind "The Nostalgia Ep", Which is a six-song extended play that I wrote to be a concept record. The concept behind this record is extremely personal to me, and everyone in the band can relate to it in one shape or form. My recommendation to you, the reader, would be to also listen to the music besides just reading this, preferably, read this and listen to the songs at the same time. Just look up "Into The Forest, The Nostalgia Ep" on any major music platform to find it or link to it directly here:
The Nostalgia Ep is a marvel that took four years to create, and in its entirety contains every emotion that I have ever felt. Each song, like a chapter in a book, has its own story, but if listened to from cover to cover it reveals a much larger story, the story of my life up to this point. This story isn't about action and adventure, it's more introspective and focuses on the complex emotions that we feel as humans. These emotions I could never quite put to words, so I put them into songs. What I will attempt to do here is write out in words, the story of The Nostalgia Ep. While reading this, keep in mind that there isn't much external action, but instead, the focus is within the mind. This introspective form of writing is different than typical literature and may take some time to fully grasp. All I can hope is that I translate these emotions correctly, and that hopefully, you, the reader, will enjoy the emotions that I am attempting to put in words for you. So, without further ado, here is: The Story of Nostalgia.
