"I Know What We're Gonna Do Today!"

I chuckle and run back to him, grabbing ahold of his wrists as he was putting away our bags.

"Come on slow-poke! We're burning daylight!"

I drag him upstairs, quickly picking up more empty blueprints before heading back downstairs, Ferb's wrist still being crushed by my hand.

We enter the kitchen where our mom was making cookies. How could I tell? It's our mom, she always makes cookies on Fridays. We've literally made a timetable of after school snacks our mom makes.

"Hey, kids, how was your last day of school?" Mom asked as she was making cookies.

"Good," was all I said as I jumped right into my work.

I sense Mom looking over my shoulder and out of the corner of my eye, she raises an eyebrow.

"Did they really give you homework in the last day of school?" Mom asked, slightly annoyed.

"Huh?" Was all I could muster, I was too invested I couldn't quite answer my own mom.

I looked up to see Ferb whispering into her ear. A smile began to creep across her face. After Ferb pulled away from her ear, she giggled and rubbed both our heads.

"Even at 15 you two still have wild imaginations." She chuckled, rubbing her hand in my hair and Ferb's, "Do you two want some cookies? They're almost done, they just need to cool down."

"Maybe later, thank you." I said. As I was drawing out plans, I noticed a certain someone wasn't in the kitchen. A certain pet, if I were to push it.

"Hey, where's Perry?"

"He's in the living room. Poor thing's been miserable without you two all day." Mom said.

Just then, the sounds of pattering feet crept up to my legs. I look down and see a teal body standing right next to my foot, his eyes pointed in opposite directions.

I smile.

"Oh, there you are Perry," I say, petting him.

"GrrrrrrRRrrrrrr" he responded.

After I finished petting Perry, I turned to Ferb, who was already seated with a plate full of cookies. He handed me one while he held three cookies in his hand like cards.

"Thanks," I said as I reached for it. I took a bite from the chocolate chip cookie and looked down at the empty blueprints, just waiting to be filled in, "Ferb, grab your clipboard, I'll need you to list out the following materials we'll need for tomorrow."

Out of nowhere, he pulled out a brown clipboard and a pen. Where does he get that?

"Hey, where do you get your stuff from? Just askin'."

He raises an eyebrow to me.

"Hey, I know it's not an important question, but I'm just really curious."

He rolls his eyes at me and lifts up a potato sack with the word "hammerspace" printed on it.

I raise an eyebrow at it. Hmm, I've heard of hammerspace, but I never thought it was a literal object.

"Huh...is that our first visual gimmick of the story?"

"A bit of a blatant one, yes, but I'm expecting more in the future."

We both chuckle as we reach for another cookie.

I bite into my cookie and begin talking. "Alright, so I'll need..."

Just a little fourth wall break, here. Don't worry, this won't take long. I'm aware of the fact Phineas likes Isabella, and there's no doubt in my mind he'll be debating himself mentally about his feelings. Heck, I know for a fact he did it while we were on our way home from school.

How do I know? Well, we Brits know all. Plus I planted a mind reading bug in his hair, so both you and I will know what he's thinking. Don't ask me how I was able to get it into his hair.

Anyway, I'm just telling you that there will be a lot of romance and stuff in this story, so just bare with it. There's a lot of action in this anyway to balance it out.

"Ferb? You ok? Ferb?"

"Hmm?"

"Dude, you were zoning out to the audience. What gives?"

I give him a simple shrug. He raises an eyebrow but shrugs it off.

This will probably get annoying so we'll try to limit the breaks.

Right, with that straightened out, you can proceed to the next chapter.
