Chapter 18 - all a dream

I woke up screaming and Jerome walked in almost screaming himself and ran to me

" WHAT! " he yelled grabbing my shoulders and shook me playfully but he was half serious

" Mitch .... Dead ..... Me .... You .....sky .....randoms ......help " I cried as I curled back in my bed

" what? He's fine " jerome said tilting his head " just sleeping as normal you just had a bad dream " he chuckled lightly

" he's what .... " I got up but my legs buckled " oh yeah" I cursed as Jerome helped me up. I looked in the mirror and saw the scar

" oh " I whispered as i stood on my own feet and waited for the nurse " most of it wasn't a dream "

" miss please can I have some crutches " I asked nicely and again fell on the floor " yeah my legs are sleeping " I smiled and laughed a bit

She came back and handed my crutches back and the light flooded in my room and looked at the clock at the side of my bed and stared

" 10:00" I said shocked " WEDNESDAY " I yelled

" yeah you've been out for a while '' he smiled " but sk..... "

" SKY " I grabbed the crutches and did what I could and kinda ran to his room. I stopped he wasn't awake but on his side. I shivered hoping he wasn't going to die like Mitch had in the dream

" is he d..d..d " I stuttered

" few no " he sighed and breathed deeply " we all thought he had but was just alive , but he hasn't woken up ''

I walked back a bit almost dropping the crutches and shivered again " so he hasn't woken up yet "

He tilted his head a bit " yeah it's what I just said " he laughed a bit " oh " I said walking out and straight to Mitch's room and smirked.

" he's ok right , no pain or anything " I whispered and he nodded a bit

" just be careful " he smile went from ear to ear " ok " and I nodded " oh and he hasn't seen you awake yet, he's been sitting by your bed allllllll day every day " he smiled and stepped back as I quietly entered the room trying to place the crutches down quietly.

Once I was by his bedside I lent down and took a deep breath and gently grabbed his shoulders

" WAKE UP QUICKLY THERES A FIRE "

He shot up and ran out of bed and tripped over the sheets and laid on the floor as I laid on the bed laughing. He stood up with the sheet over his head and lifted it up slowly and gasped

" NICOLE " he hugged me and forgot about everything and squeezed me to I almost passed out .

" wait there's a fire quickly " he grabbed me and dragged me out the room and stared at jerome who was laying on the floor breathing heavily

" HES DYING " I yelled and he put me down and gave Jerome CPR and I watched as Jerome just laughed and Mitch stopped as Jerome screamed out laughing

" What Am I Missing ? " he said tilting his head

" uh jerome you explain while I got do a thing " I quickly ran with the crutches and handed them back to a nurse that had walked past " thankyou " I said and walked into the room and listened

" WHAT?! " I laughed and went to the toilet door and twisted the Handel but it was locked

I stared at the door in confusion and walked to the bed side table and grabbed the air freshener and stood behind my bed as the toilet flushed and I crawled under the bed.

The door flung open and I stared as a man in black shoes stumbled out and cleared his throat

" Nicole? " the tone in his voice made me instantly crawl from under my bed and I stared face to face with a man

" really why couldn't you go to your own toilet "

He rolled his eyes as I gagged " eww "
