The night that changed her life

Chapter 4

Mr Parks POV

I was so pissed right now, every time I brought up anything about that night she would just change the subject! Couldn't we have a civilised conversation about it? She cant keep avoiding it! I feel responsible for making sure she's okay and she clearly isn't from the way that she is acting. Im sure she wouldn't have told anyone so i'm the only one that can care for her and help her recover.

I was on my way home from catching her up on everything she missed yesterday. Then I saw her sitting at the bus stop, near the school. It was freezing outside, she would have been waiting there for over half an hour. She looked so cute and vulnerable, she was so beautiful, her long brown hair blowing in the wind. I couldn't help but pull up next to her.

"Can I give you a lift home?"

She looked up, noticing me for the first time, first she was surprised and then her face fell blank.

"No thank you"

"Common, its freezing and I already know how to get to your house, its around the corner from mine!"

I could tell that she was considering because I was right, it was freezing.

" Fine"

I couldn't help but smirk at her as she hopped in the car. 

"Can we please talk?"

"About what, there is nothing to talk about!"

She was really stubborn

"Are you ok? You know after what happened?"

"Yeh im fine, it was hardly a big deal"

Wow this girl wasn't going to give up. We sat in silence for a while and then I was pulling upto her house, I really should have taken the long way but its too late now.

"Just promise me you will come to school again tomorrow?"

"I dont have to promise you anything! But for your information I was going anyway! There's no reason for me not to go."

Before I could respond she had gotten out and slammed the car door. I decided to leave it at that.

Cassie's POV

Who the hell does he think he is telling me to go to school! I will do what I want, like I know he is a teacher and everything but still he shouldn't be telling me to promise to go to school! Anyway it's not like I wouldnt go, what's the point I can't avoid him forever.

I decided to text Aly and see if she wanted to sleep at mine, my brother was probably out getting drunk with his friends knowing him.

'Hey Aly wanna come 2 mine tonite?'

She texted back straight away, she always had her phone with her.

'Sure darlin, could use a girls night see you in 20 mins?'

'kk cya then'

Well at least it will distract me from him!

I had just finished having a shower and was still in my towel when the door bell rang. Thinking it was Aly I went downstairs and opened the door only to find my brother and ... wait what? That cant be him!

"God Cas get some clothes on, geez do you always answer the door wearing a towel?" 

"What is he doing here?" I said ignoring my brothers question while pointing to one Mr Brad Parks standing in my doorway.

"You know Brad? He's Coopers big brother but we've known each other for years. He's over for some beers and to watch the footy! What's it to you?"

I kept my eyes on Mr parks the whole time, he was just smirking, what the hell, does he think this is funny or something! Im standing at the door wearing a towel and finding out that my brother is best friends with my new teacher.
