You walked in the flower shop today.
You were tall. You were quiet.
You seemed sad.
You looked like you had just cried.

"Good morning sir! How can I help y-"

"-Lilies. Five of them" You muttered, cutting me off. Your voice was hoarse and you sounded as though you didn't even want to speak.

And as you headed to the counter to ask for the flowers, you didn't even look at me.

Normally, I'd find your actions rude, but I knew that there was a whole other story that I didn't know about.

And that it wasn't my place to judge you.

"White or Pink? Those are the only colors that we have"

"She liked white"

"Okay"

I quickly went to work in arranging the flowers. And as I did so, the silence in the room was suffocating.

I quickly gave them to you and you left after giving a big bill.

"You still have change" I muttered.
Though you were already gone.
