"Stop digging in your heart 'cause tonight is on me

Tonight is on me"

Lex

I met Luke Hemmings and we fell in love, yet, I didn't know who he was, but when I finally discovered his identity it all became a series of up and downs. The only thing we knew was that if were meant to be, we would meet somewhere before the very end.

This is how it happened.

I was walking through the dark streets of Los Angeles with my phone ready to dial to the 911 if it was necessary. It had been a Slam Night at Da Poetry Lounge, and during my summer vacations I usually went there with my best friend, but she was sick and I was going to stay with her at her apartment downtown but they had call me to say the had an open spot, and she literally kicked me out of the house. And there I was walking the dark streets of Cali in a black and chilly June night.

I wasn't one to go alone to bars but I had a horrible first performance and I sure needed a shot of tequila to forget about it. I had never drink but my whole family always discussed that one shot was enough to make a mess seem brighter. Instead of going to any bar, I went to Whisky a Go Go, which was sure a hell of a change after spending my night a poetry place. But I was one for rock music, so I took a bus and walked for a couple of minutes until I was there.

Lex:

I am at Whisky a Go Go. Call if you need anything

Juju:

Call me if you need anything

Juju:

You won't stand it there. I know you like rock but that is no place for you

Lex:

I think I can handle it

I made my line and waited for a good twenty minutes before I could finally get inside. I didn't want to seem like a nerd out of place, so I pulled up the zipper of my leather jacket so nobody could see my Gryffindor t-shirt under it.

With small and insecure steps I made my way the bar and dropped myself on top of a stool. I took and exhaled a deep breath before calling the bartender.

"I want a shot of the strongest Mexican tequila you can get me."

"Missing home?" he asked as he went for the bottle. For a second I thought about how did he knew, then I remembered that when I was in a bad mood. I had the thickest accent ever.

"Just a bad night," I waved off.

"Then, this one's on me," he said and I laughed. I thought bartenders were only nice in the movie, but after all, I had never been at a bar before. He filled up the glass and pushed it forward. "I guess, you don't have a lot of experience."

I grabbed the glass and spinned it for a few seconds. "My first shot of tequila, actually. Any advice?"

It was his turn to laugh, I guess he had never heard of a Mexican who had never had tequila. "Just chug it down in one sip, and then, lemon," he suggested placing a lemon in front of me. "Good luck."
