>The restitution being similar to that of facing one convicted misdemeanor of grand theft.
>The defenses to grand theft auto or motor vehicle theft begin with the consent of the vehicle owner, if present.
>Grand theft auto, also known as GTA, can be filed as a misdemeanor or as a felony, depending upon the circumstances, the vehicle's cost or value, and the defendant's prior criminal record.
I closed the file, a gut wrenching feeling building up in my insides. GTA huh? Poor guy. He must've needed the money.
It's not a good feeling the one you get when you have to defend a criminal. It's hard to find any innocent evidence, I hardly ever do. I'm normally one to win a case. That's why criminals search for me to be their lawyer. Because I'm very vocally confident, I'm good at telling the truth from different points of view, I like speaking, I like discussing. Also, I'm what you would call a 'Criminal Lawyer'. I defend the accused, the unwanted, the prisoners, and the criminals. And you might be asking yourself, why would anyone want to defend a criminal if they know they're in the wrong?
Well, here's the simple answer, someone has to do it. Nobody wants to, but somebody has to. What would you do if nobody was on your side? If you were accused of something that, sure, you committed, but you didn't know any better? The poor guy probably stole the car for mon-
Oh.
That's not good.
I opened the file again, glancing over the third page.
> Kim Yu Gyeom, Injury Offence.
>Accused of 'Kidney Faculty Failure Injury'.
>Whoever causes another damage or alteration to their health, may it be permanently or temporarily, in this case the culprit being Kim Yu Gyeom, will be injected:
- 3 to 4 years of pension in county jail or state prison when they produce loss of faculty or irreparable damage to the person.
>The affected being Park Chae Young, a female.
> The injury being failure of the kidney faculty.
Damn. Not only did the kid steal a vehicle, but he also caused a girl's kidney to fail. Wait - God damn it! It was a girl... he's older so he had an advantage. Meaning, that's two more years of pension... This is gonna be a hard case to even defend. Why the fuck did he even–
My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door indicating my secretary's arrival.
"Mr. Park."
"Lisa. Don't call me that."
"R-Right...I'm sorry to interrupt but, I need your fingerprint again. Sorry."
"It's fine.. don't worry about it... How're you doing by the way? We haven't spoken in a while. How's Seokjinnie?"
"Oh! I'm alright, thanks. Jin's great. We were discussing baby names the other day, I still can't believe I'm pregnant!"
"That's amazing, Hon! Are you sure you don't want a few months off? I mean, you're four months in. I know you'll have to quit eventually but, I don't want you to stress."
"Don't worry about it, Mr.Par- I mean, Jiminie! I'm doing fine. Anyways, let's get this done."
"Alright.."
---
"Thank you, Jimin! I'll see you tomorrow."
"Sure thing Lisa!", I sighed, remembering that I needed to go to Jungkook's office to get some pictures of the stolen vehicle, which happened to be downstairs. This meaning, I needed to take the elevator. Oh- how much I hate elevator rides.
Especially the music.
It's annoying.

As I was walking back to my office, I was recalling the situation that occurred at the file room. I believe his name was Park Jimin, but I'm not sure. I bumped into him in the file room, he was staring at me quite intently. I just smiled and brushed it off because I'm sure he did it subconsciously. He was really cute. He kept repeating the letter 'K', which, I'm sure, is the letter he was searching for. As I walked out of the room though, I brushed his shoulder. He seemed.. tense. Dare I say scared. I kept walking to my office since I was in a hurry, but I could hear his quickening and fading foot steps scurrying their way to the restroom behind me.
I didn't really think much of it, Maybe he had to shit really bad, I thought aimlessly to myself, sighing at my own stupidity only seconds later. I bombinated a tune which was stuck in my head from earlier, though I couldn't recall its name. Once I finally reached my office, I settled down into my seat where Jisoo, my secretary, was awaiting my return.
"Mr. Kim! There you are! You can't keep being late like this. Y'know, you're lucky that your client's late too, for once.", She scoffs in her high-pitched voice as I create a clumsy chuckle. I straiten out my suit as Jisoo keeps scolding me, my attention not fully present on her. That's when I remember, I have to get the files from Yoongi's cabinet... Shit, I think to myself, the missing files for my conference being in Yoongi's file cabinet, which was in his office, which was downstairs. Meaning, I have to take the elevator, also meaning that– Wait- I remember now! The song- The one that was stuck in my head! Actually- never mind... It's just the elevator music...
Did I mention I love elevator music?
It's refreshing.
