-- Singto --

Shinjuku. I like it here. Amidst all these people, I can still lose myself. There's a quiet that I treasure, me getting lost among these busy streets. Locals, tourists, young, old, and me. Peace, finally. "Singto!" Singto ignored the call. Who would know him here? "Hey! P'Sing! Wait up!" He looked around but saw no one he knew.

*ping* Email. P'Singto. I'm not sure if you're seeing my emails. I just want to say that I think I saw you today, walking around Shinjuku. Was that you? If it is you, I hope I see you again. What! Is he stalking me? Seriously!

*ping* This time his notification showed his messenger has a message.

K: P'Sing.

K: Now I'm sure this is you! Took me a while to track you down.

K: Why aren't you replying to my emails?

What?!

K: Why aren't you replying?

How?!

K: Oh come on! I know you're reading my messages!

S: Who is this?

K: Oho! You've forgotten already? How long has it been that you've forgotten already?

S: Seriously, who is this?

K: Aw! You deleted me from your contacts already? That hurts.

S: Fine. I don't know you. Bye.

K: C'mon P'. Think.

K: Hey!

K: No response?

K: Don't just sit there, ignoring me while sipping your café mocha.

S: What? You can see me? Where are you?

A Shadow stood beside Singto.

K: Here.

"Hi P'Singto." Singto was stunned. He turned around to face the voice slowly.

"Sorry?", he said.

"P', don't tell me you've forgotten me already. It's been what? Only 5 years? It hasn't been that long since we last saw each other."

Singto can hear his heart beating fast. 5 years and he's here. In front of me. Why now? Where has he been? Singto had all these questions but all he said was "I really don't know you. Sorry."

"You really don't remember me P'? It's me, Krist."

"Krist? Heeey...." Smooth... Way to go Singto.

"Hi! I wasn't sure it was you yesterday. I saw you walking around Shinjuku. I called you but you must not have heard me. I went after you but lost you. How have you been P'?"

"I'm good. How've you been Krist? What are you doing here of all places? It's a weird coincidence bumping into you here."

"Yeah. It is, isn't it? Must be destiny. Haha!" Krist sat down and smiled.

Same smile. Same dimple. I'm doomed.
