~ opening ~

Sam sat in the corner of his room, rocking himself back and forth. It's been months, graduation was coming up, and it wouldn't feel the same without Colby.

His blue piercing gaze remained staring at the floor. He still has no trace of the brunette. No idea where he was locked away. The school pronounced him deceased, but he knew more. He knew there was a darker truth behind it all.

The atmosphere of his room seemed dark. Even though the light of day was shining through to his guitar, piano, and throwing knife collection, everything seem hazed. Like fog covering a gloom filled day.

He started reminiscing on his past. When Colby first came to the school, to when Ace tried stealing him.

Though his thoughts were cut short by a sudden knocking on the door. His head snapped up, confused running through his head. "Come in?"

Opening the door was Solaris, Kale's cousin. Her face seemed worried and waning to help. "Sam!"

He rolled his eyes, standing up to meet her brown gaze. For all he knew, she was gonna kick him out again, like she did a few months ago. "What do you want?"

"Listen I know we got off on the wrong foot a few months ago-" she started, but getting cut off by the now angered blonde.

"You almost knocked me out!" He snapped, forcing himself forward. "I was just trying to get information on my boyfriend, and you so rudely kicked me out! Like you were helping Kale! How do I know this isn't some trick to lead me right into his trap!"

"If you would let me finish, you would know what I was gonna say!" She growled back, angering flaring in her brown gaze, the fingerless gloves following her hand as she curled them into fists. Her breathing was heavy, giving away by how her shoulders moved up and down with her chest.. Closing her eyes, Solaris huffed out a breath. "As I was saying, I'm not here to help Kale. In fact, he kicked me out of his plan."

Sam was intrigued now. He inched closer to the shorter female. "What do you mean?"

"He kicked me out. It says it there itself," she explained, leaning against the doorframe. "He's a psychopath, Sam. One that needs to be locked away. But.. I don't know what he'll do to you alone. That's why I am here."

"Why are you here exactly?"

"To help you."

He scoffed lightly, "Yeah. How are you gonna accomplish that?"

"I know where Kale keeps Colby locked up," she began explaining, stepping into the room, shutting the door behind her. "I know how to get into his head. I know how to manipulate him. All you need is me, Sam."

He raised an eyebrow. "You're saying you will help me get my boyfriend back?" He inquired, tilting his head slightly to the right. "Against your own cousin?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

Solaris placed one hand on her hip, walking towards him. "I want to get Kale in jail, Sam. I want you and Colby to live a happy life after school. Of course, he might get held back once the school sees he's not dead...." She trailed off, losing the right words to continue her sentence..

"Go on?" Sam was running his hand through his hair, thinking. She actually wants to help me get my long lost boyfriend back..

"But it will not be easy," her words cut through his thoughts, like knife through butter. "We need to manipulate him.." Solaris glanced at a nearby clock. "But we don't have much time until Kale gets Colby to do his plan.."

"What plan?"

"To kill himself..."
