"So where are we going exactly?" You asked from the back of the helicopter. The pilot didn't respond, whether it was out of fear or annoyance you weren't sure. Those who worked for HYDRA didn't normally converse with you unless it was for a mission benefitting them and it was usually for one of those two reasons. You however still had a voice and quite enjoyed the affect that it had on people when you tried to talk to them. Everyone you knew from a very young age seemed to be so devoid of personality, yet they couldn't seem to get rid of yours, especially when your powers were ignited. When you felt in power you were far more willing to show who you really were.

"Fine, I'll ask again. Where are you taking me?" You insisted.

"New York, now be quite and let me pay attention," he paused as if he realized what he'd done, "...please."

You smirked. So he was scared- good. You made it a hobby to toy with the HYDRA agents and they were the most fun when they were scared of you. It was the only way you really had to get back at them for all that they'd done to you. They'd taken everything from you, yet they were still frightened when they knew they couldn't control you.

"Where in New York? These things seem pretty vital to the success of my mission yet they don't tell me anything before I get there so it'd be a big help if you could cooperate with me here," you pushed. The man seemed to give up and began talking.

"I'm dropping you off at a location where no one will be able to see us land. You will then disguise yourself as an ordinary citizen and walk to Stark Tower. You'll enter the building and sneak your way up to the top where the Avengers are located. This will give you the perfect opportunity to take them all out while they're unaware," he explained.

"And how do you know that they're all there?" you questioned. The plan seemed reasonably simple as long as everyone was in the right place.

"They're all there discussing what to do with that trouble maker that they have locked up in the basement," the man grumbled. This made you smile

"You have a problem with Loki?" you laughed. The pilot didn't reply. You hadn't met Loki but you'd heard all about what he'd done to New York. Part of you hated him because of all that he'd done to the poor people who lived there, but you still relished in the joy you felt when you saw the panic on everyone's face when they realized someone not connected to HYDRA was causing that much chaos. You knew it was wrong but everything you did was wrong too. You knew what it was like to feel like there wasn't any other option. To comply to those above you because you knew the consequences if you didn't.

"They really need to stop giving you that shot and sending you out. It's dangerous to have a spy with as little control as you," the pilot finally spoke. You knew he was right but didn't let it show.

"Be careful with your words. You know what I'm capable of," you replied, silencing him. You realized how much of an exception you were. You worked for HYDRA but when you were sent out on missions to do their dirty work they let go of your leash. The only way to maximize your power was for them to release you from their control, which was a dangerous choice for both of you. It gave you free will over your words and actions which meant you didn't have to comply with the orders you were given. However, if you didn't do as you were told there was no escape from the organization that held you hostage. They would come after you, make you regret being defiant, and then send someone else to complete the task that you failed. The temptation was always there, and while it might cause a minor inconvenience for HYDRA, it wouldn't do any good for you or others in the long run. You were stuck in an endless loop of waking up, killing against your will, and getting wiped.

"Here's your stop," the pilot stated blankly, pulling you from your thoughts. You got up from your seat and hopped off onto the dark concrete below.

"Thanks for the ride," you called back, sarcasm present in every word. You didn't look back but you feel him roll his eyes. Typical. You stepped away from the helicopter and were immediately swarmed by agents handing you clothes to put over your suit, asking you questions, giving you orders. You took it all in, staying silent as they led you to a room where you threw on the black hoodie and jeans they had given you. You sat, waiting for whoever was going to come in and tell you what you already knew you had to do. You tried not to think too hard about the fact that you were about to take the lives of earth's biggest hope. Instead you thought about what would happen if you didn't succeed. You told yourself over and over that it was going to happen no matter what you tried to do to stop it. If it wasn't you that killed them, it would be someone else in one of those cells at the HYDRA facility where they kept all of their weapons.

"Miss (Y/N)," a tall, dark haired man said as he entered the room. "I assume you're already aware of the task you are here to complete and how it is to be done?" You nodded. You knew snarky comments wouldn't play any part in helping your situation so you kept your mouth shut. "Remember, you are simply a pawn in a much bigger plan. Your life, while valuable to HYDRA, is replaceable. You serve a purpose or you are terminated, understand?" he asked coldly. They gave you this speech before every mission you went on as if you'd forgotten from the last time. You nodded once more. You could feel your hands getting hot as anger rose in your chest, but you willed it back down. You wanted to burn the man in front of you to nothing. You wanted to take everything from him as he and the people he worked for had done to you, but you didn't. The man left the room without another word. Soon another agent replaced him, a woman with her blonde hair tied neatly behind her head. Her brown eyes were cold and emotionless as she led you through the halls and into an alleyway. She nodded to you and went back through the door leaving you alone.

After making your way into the streets of New York you began walking with your head down. You didn't want to catch anyone's attention. The more people that noticed you, the harder your task was going to be. Your eyes didn't help with this at all as it isn't typical for someone to have glowing amber irises. Their bright orange color was usually a dead giveaway for those who knew who you were. It was a side effect of your abilities but it wasn't helpful when it came to going unnoticed. You kept walking until you got to your destination.

"Bingo," you said to yourself. Stark Tower stood before you, gleaming in the afternoon sunlight. It wasn't at all hard to miss seeing as it was the tallest building within at least half a mile. The giant Avengers logo on the front also made it easy to find, but finding it wasn't the hard part of your task. No, what you had to accomplish next was what you were worried about.

You continued walking, trying your best not to falter, knowing it would throw you off. You counted your steps in your head as you tried to steady your heartbeat. There were two guards at each door and doing anything to any of them would mean alerting the other 100 something inside. Walking past the plants that lined the side of the structure you brushed the leaves, causing them to burst into flame. Everyone rushed to see what was going on, including those blocking the doors. Swiftly grabbing the badge from one of their belts, you kept walking with your eyes on the ground. No one noticed as you walked into the building and entered the elevator.

You felt the cold in your head as you pushed your emotions away, preparing yourself to finish your job. You let every feeling drain from you, making you the unforgiving weapon you were trained to be. When the elevator stopped, you scanned the badge you took, granting you passage to the floor you needed to get to. It began moving again, counting down the floors you had left to gather yourself.

The doors opened slowly, revealing seven people, all looking at you with equal confusion.

"I hate to interrupt," you stated, breaking the silence. You looked up from the ground to face the heroes. "I think we all know what I have to do now."

Wow! Part two done! This one's a bit longer than the last part so I hope you guys liked that. It's still kind of a build up chapter to establish your character but you're in Stark Tower now so let the real story begin. I'm really excited to keep this going soon. <3
