Sam and Dean bust through the doors of the old warehouse, guns raised. They looked around and saw nothing. "Where the hell did they go?" Dean yelled. "Dean, they could still be here. Quiet down." Dean rolled his eyes.

Sam motioned to Dean to follow as he crept forward. They flattened themselves against the wall, guns up. Sam went first around the corner, pointing his gun in all directions.

He stopped and lowered his gun. "Dean!" Dean came around the corner and saw what Sam was seeing. A single light from above was shining on a clearing on front of them. There was a girl tied to a chair, her head down, blood surrounding the chair.

Sam rushed forwards but Dean stayed at his back, gun still out. "This has to be a trap," Dean muttered. Sam ignored him and checked the girl's pulse. "She's alive."

"Of course she's alive. We want fresh meat. Not dead meat," A voice said. With the clacking of heels the vampire they had been hunting came out of the darkness. A tall girl who looked like she worked at a bar. The vamp had been attacking people who were walking alone at night.

"Where's your demon friend?" Dean demanded, keeping his gun trained on the vamp.

"Out hunting. Looking for fresh prey," The vamp responded.

The demon winked at the vamp from behind Sam. The demon ran a hand through his greasy black hair and raised a pale, bony finger to the smirk on his lips. The vamp grinned and continued to stall.

The vamp started to walk towards Dean but he pointed the gun at her head. She stopped and glared at him. The vamp was getting impatient and her glance flicked to the demon.

Sam suddenly went flying into a wall and Dean turned. The demon stood behind the chair and grabbed the girl's hair, pulling her head up and putting a knife to her throat. "If you shoot, she dies," the demon threatened.

Dean kept the gun pointed at the demon but he didn't shoot.

The demon smiled and suddenly stiffened as yellow light came from is eyes and mouth. He collapsed and Sam was standing behind him with the knife. Dean pulled an axe out of his belt and swung around, chopping the vampire's head off.

The brothers looked at each other for a second and then put their weapons away.

The girl in the chair raised her head slightly and Sam knelt in front of her. "Hey, it's alright. We're going to get you to a hospital."

She shook her head. Sam was confused and stopped for a second. The girl spoke in a voice that was just above a whisper, "No. I'm fine take me to the motel."

Sam looked at Dean, silently asking if they should or not. Dean nodded and Sam helped the girl out of the chair. She steadied herself and then pushed Sam away.

***********

They drove in silence until Sam spoke. "So, what's your name?" The girl looked annoyed to be talking to them but she answered, "Azaria." "Nice to meet you, Azaria. Are you going to thank us for saving you back there?" Dean snapped. She rolled her eyes and muttered a thanks.

They got Azaria to her motel and she hardly looked back at them as she went in.

Dean kept watching even after she had gone in. "What is it?" Sam asked. Dean shook his head. "Nothing. She's just different." Sam nodded as they sped away and back to where they were staying.

***********

Dean didn't say anything when they got to their room. "That was a little weird," Dean wondered aloud. "Yeah, a vamp and a demon working together. It..."

Dean cut Sam off, "I mean her. Azaria. Did she not seem weird to you?" Sam looked at Dean, slightly confused. "Yeah, she did. But that's not the point."

Dean shook his head. "You're probably right." He sat down at the table next to Sam. They sat in silence for a while.

There came a deep and gruff voice from behind them. "I need your help."

"Jesus Christ, Cas!" Dean jumped. "What did I tell you about doing that?" Cas looked at Dean. "I am sorry but this is urgent."

Dean shook his head but Sam stepped in. "What do you need, Cas?" Cas looked down before speaking. "I was just talking to Gabriel and Balthazar." Dean interrupted. "Why we're you talking to those bastards?"

"They found me and knew that you two could help them find someone." Cas said, his voice getting louder. "Why are they trying to find someone?" Sam asked. "They wouldn't tell me." Cas admitted. Dean threw his hands up. "And you're helping them anyway?" Cas nodded.

Sam gave Dean a look and then focused back on Cas. "Who they need us to find?" "A girl in this area," Cas replied. "Her name is Azaria."
