I had just gotten home from work and was beyond exhausted. I went to see my mom to let her know I was home, she had been staying here from my father died few months ago.

"Mom? I'm -" I said before being cut off by her sobbing.

"Mom why are you crying?" I said rushing over to her and holding her for around 5 minutes before she stopped.

"I'm sorry Eli but the new housekeeper came today and we exchanged a few things that got us both upset." She sobbed her way through.

"Where is she?" I asked clenching my jaw.

"She's on the fifth floor third room to the left, please don't be angry with her she's hurting too Eli." She said

"I don't give a damn." I stormed out and took the elevator to reach faster.

I knocked on the door repeatedly until she opened the door, I was met with her beautiful dark brown eyes.

"Sapphire?" I asked rhetorically.

"Yes what is it?" She said smartly

"Look you may talk smart to me but not to my mother you and I will have more fucking problems than we already have right now." I spat at her.

"We had a misunderstanding today, ask questions before you come blow up in my fucking face with your bitch ass." She came in my face cussing

"Please do remember I'm your lecturer and boss!" I said standing over her with a death glare

"Then act like it and get out my damn face!" She said.

"Not before you tell me what you and my mother talked about." I grabbed her

"I yelled at her telling her she doesn't know how it feels to lose someone she loves!" She said with tears in her eyes.

"And who did you lose to know? Some little boyfriend of yours?" I said angrily and she stared at me with shock.

"My.......parents but then she told me about your dad and I told her I was sorry I just didn't her showing pity for me" she said with tears streaming down.

"My condolences, I'm sorry for the lost of your parents but that is not a reason for your bitchy angry attitude all the time."

"That is part of what happened to me part ! You don't know my life ok? So back the fuck up and get outttt as I said." She shouted at me

"Let's see how long you stay here" I stood over her and said through gritted teeth before walking out and slamming the door.

I like her but her disrespectful ways and atrocious attitude towards my mother is a big turn off, when she's sassy to me it turns me on to want to check her but she's really asking for it now and she's about to see who she's up against and she better be ready for this.

Sapphire

I woke up with my eyes swollen from all the crying last night, I felt so alone in this world not only from my parents dying but how they die and what happened after, i refuse to tell anyone what happened but i feel keeping it in is tearing me apart and very angry. I got ready for class and waited for Violet to come get me as much as I didn't want to see her right now,

"Sapphire" Jane called.

"Yes Mrs.Jackson" I rolled my eyes before turning around

"I am sorry, about my son's behavior he doesn't understand that we were both upset for the same reason, he had no right to attack you the way he did, he has anger issues and tries to control it he also goes to therapy for it he just gets a little protective of me especially since his father died he feels he is the man of the house." She said

"I like you Sapphire there's something about you that I've never seen in any girl he has brought home." She continued

"Your son didnt bring me here." I spat

"I know I mean any girl that has been here turned out to be a complete bitch, let's start on a new page shall we?" She said with the warmest smile that melted my heart

"Ok new page" I said hugging her and blinking my tears back.

Violet came and I said goodbye to Jane and headed out. I sat in the car quiet for most of the ride 15 minutes seemed like an hour.

"Sapph look I'm sorry I didn't tell you OK? I thought it would be something good." Vi said.

"Something good? Cleaning my professor's house?" I looked at her in disbelief

"C'mon I know you got feelings for him girl" Vi said

"I don't know him and he's a prick, just leave me alone right now." I said.

She nodded and I headed to class. Most of the class I was ignored whenever I wanted to ask a questions.

Violet whispered "don't worry I'll never ignore a fine ass like you, with that junk in the trunk."

Which caused me to laugh, I couldn't stay mad at this girl for too long.

"Ms.Nelson, would u like to share that joke?" He asked

"Ye your lecture." I said and the class laughed

"If you have a problem with the way lecture you could differ to a different class." He said staring at me

"Maybe I will." I grabbed my bags walking out with Violet behind me.

"Violet let's go to your dorm I know all the other classes arare packed but I can't stay in there right now." I said

"Yeah I left Logan there sleeping he's knocked out from last night told him i wouldn't be back until this evening but I'm sure he's just the guy to cheer us up" she said

We walked the rest of the way talking and laughing.

"Yeah and then he said let's see how your gonna stay here like the fuck." I said and we both laughed as Violet opened the door.

"Lo-oogan????" ............
