- I told you, it's just something I want. Sentimental value, answers Mason still looking inside the safe.
- Yeah, I'm not really buying that. Why do you really want it?
- Do you know where it is or not? asks my uncle while stopping searching in the safe and looking up at me.
- No, I figured it would be in here, man, I say shaking my head. He isn't believing me, I can tell.
Elena's P.O.V.
- I can't believe Tyler Lockwood is a werewolf, states Jeremy while I finish preparing myself. I explained him about the werewolves and told him to be careful. I promised him that I won't keep anything from him anymore, so that's what I'm doing it. But I hate it, anyway.
- We're not sure about that yet. The only thing we know for sure is that Mason Lockwood is, I correct my brother.
- It should be enough easy for us to figure it out.
- There is no us. I said that I wouldn't keep things from you anymore. That doesn't mean that I want you involved in it.
- By definition of being in this family, I'm involved, he tells me showing his ring.
- This is dangerous, Jeremy. You have to stay out of it, okay?
- Alright. Just saying, he starts walking out but I stop him.
- Wait, look, I know Gillian and you aren't the best of friend right now, Jeremy rolls his eyes already annoyed. I sigh as I watch him. Jer, I'm serious. You two were very good friends before. If you could at least just talk a bit with Gillian, it would be good for her. She isn't very well right now, Jeremy frowns lightly at me. He looks a bit concerned as well which surprise me. I thought he hated her.
- Elena...
- Jer, please, I insist, staring at my brother. He shrugs and sighs.
- Fine, I'll send her a text message.
- thank you, he leaves the bathroom and so do I to go to my bedroom. I walk to my closet, open it and take a thin jacket out. I close the door and jump scared when I see Stefan standing behind it.
- Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, he tells me smiling. I smile back as I watch him leaning in to kiss me. I step a bit back and go close the door. Right, whisper my boyfriend, chuckling. I close it and throws my jacket on the bed before kissing him with passion.
- Hi, I tell him smiling after pulling away from the kiss. Stefan takes me in his arms.
- Hey. Are you ready for today?
- No. I hate fighting with you, even if it's fake, I tell him while pulling away from my boyfriend's embrace.
- I know but if Katherine thinks that we are fighting, then she will think that she's winning and it keeps her from following through with her threats.
- Yeah. But it doesn't make it any easier. Neither does knowing that Caroline will be there, reporting everything back to her, I say aggrevated by the blonde girl lately. I don't get why Caroline, my friend since forever, would do that to me.
- Hey, everything's gonna be okay. Yes, we have to keep up this ruse for a little while but the best way to keep Katherine from hurting anybody, from hurting you.
- Just promise me that she won't get her way with us. We can fake a fight, we can pretend that her threats are tearing us apart but none of it is real, okay?
