Adhesion ( Newt x reader )

Chapter 1

Thomas's POV

We follow the train and also managed to find Brenda and Jorge, "Brenda we're coming up behind. keep 'em busy." I said. we got closer to train. vince drove on the train tracks, "this is crazy, thomas!" Vince said, "so your not gonna let me have some fun?" Y/N said sarcastically.

Y/N's POV

Thomas climbed on to the front of the car as I jumped in the front seat, "Get me closer!" thomas yelled to vince. thomas maneged to get the hook on the back of the train. I jumped on the car and jumped over to the train ladder, "C'mon, vince!" I said. he got on the car but the tire popped which caused him to almost falling off of the car. he got back up, "Jump!" thomas says as vince jumps. we caught him just in time before the car could flip  on him, "Let's go!" I said, "Hey! berg!" Vince said as I looked. It was none other than WCKD, "Hey, Brenda, you got company!" thomas said warning Brenda and Jorge, "We gotta move, come on!" thomas said to us and we climbed. we saw the guards coming to us. vince jumped down so he could get the other car too unhook from the rest of them all. thomas jumped and then me so we could give vince sometime. I got one guard and so did thomas but there were a lot of them coming, "Vince?" I said hoping he's got this, "We're set! cover your assess!" He yelled at us. Vince went one way Thomas and me went the other and then boom. the car was no longer stuck to the rest.

we jumped off. I checked to make sure they weren't behind us. thomas gave me the heads up. I nodded and whistled. newt came from behind the rock with the rest of the guys and ran to us. we and on each car to see if we could hear minho voice.  or sonya or aris. newt ran up behind me, "hey love hope we're not late." newt said kissing me, "no time for that come let's go!" I said with a smirk. thomas showed newt which one. when I looked I saw more WCKD guards coming for us.

We tied the ropes on the sides of the car. me and thomas looked over on the side of the car where newt was, "newt, how you doing?" thomas said, "Don't rush me." he said looking at thomas. I giggled a little and went right back to work. the gurads started shooting at us, "Newt, get up here!" I yelled, "Almost there!" he said. I jumped down and immediately started shooting back. newt finally had got it, "Newt go!" I said covering him, "Y/N, go now!" vince told me. I nodded and climbed right behind newt. we laid down on the car so they wouldn't be able to shoot us, "Where the hell are they?" newt asked thomas,  "I don't know!" thomas replied. we looked up and saw the WCKD chopper above us but it was the guys. they Lowered the hook as I buy them sometime. they got the hook to hook on the car, "Vince get up here!" Newt said. he jumped as we went higher and higher in the air. I grabbed vince's hand and pulled him up. we did. we got the car. I hugged newt and then thomas. then vince.

Once we landed we got the door open to the car. the first person I saw was aris and sonya. they looked so bad. aris had a black eye and sonya had so many bruises. I ran up to them both, "Hey, oh my god are you guys okay!?" I said so worried, "yeah we're fine." sonya answered. I hugged them both. harriet took care of them. all the kids looked so scared, "it's okay. you guys are safe. all right? just hang on don't worry." I said reassuring them. we went all the way to the back or the car and no sign of minho, "He's not here." thomas said. I looked at newt and could see the sad and hurt in his eyes.

We unloading all of the kids from the car, "Y/N!" vince yelled for me. I ran over to him to see what's up, "This little girl won't come out. she's scared out of her mind. maybe you could help?" vince asked. I nodded and went inside. the little girl had straight brown hair with dark green eyes. I slowly kneel down in front of her. She started panicking, "hey, it's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you. just breathe for me." I said softly. she slowly nodded and her breathing is almost back to normal, "okay good. now I'm gonna need you to stand up, can you do that sweetheart?" I asked. once again she nodded. she couldn't stand up on her own so I had to help her. Her legs are so shaky from her being in so much fear. WCKD must have done something to this poor girl. she managed to stand up and make a smile. she gave me a big hug. I laughed, "now I need you to follow him. vince will help you okay?" I said. she smiled and walked off, "I didn't know you were good with kids." newt said from behind me, "neither did I. I guess I just understood her fear of not knowing where you are and why people are doing this to you." I said facing him. we went outside of the car to hear vince's speech,

"I know you've all been through hell. I wish I could say our troubles are over. but we're not through this yet. WCKD's still out there. they're not giving up. cause you got something they want. they took you because you're immune to a plague that's wiping out human race. and they think you're worth sacrificing to find a cure. well, I don't. so in two days, when we get this tub of rust seaworthy, we're getting the hell outta here. we're gonna go to a place where WCKD will never find you. a place you can start over. a place you can call home." vince said proudly. I smiled as newt called me. I sat down with the rest of the guys looking of in the distance, "I wanted minho to be on that train too, tommy." Newt said sadly, "we all did." fry added. I padded both of them on the back, "Just can't believe we're talking about leaving without him." thomas said, "I know. she thinks they're trying to look after the others. you know, six months we've been chasing WCKD around the scorch trying to find minho. I'm surprised he even held out as long as he did. this safe haven, I don't know if it's the paradise that vince keeps saying it is, but I do know that minho gave up everything so that we could have this chance." newt said, "what, do we just throw that away?" I said to him, "I Don't know. but think he'd kick  all of our assess if we did." fry says which caused us to laugh, "hey!" Harriet says from behind us, "it's aris. he's talking." She said. we got up and went to him.

Sonya was helping him clean up some wounds, "Took you guys long enough to rescue us." aris said grinning at us, "it's good to see you, too bud." Thomas said, "So what happened?" I asked, "I fought back. tried to, anyway." Aris said, "You're lucky you found us at all. they had us on the move a lot. it felt like something big was happening." Sonya says, "Any idea where they were heading?" Newt asked, "All I know is. they kept talking about a city." Aris said, "I didn't think there were any cities left." I said, "that's because there aren't. not still standing, anyway." Brenda says, "Okay, wait what about minho? why wasn't he on the train?" Thomas said
sonya and aris looked at each other for a minute, "I'm sorry, thomas. he was." Aris said. janson is trying so hard to keep him away from us but he can't stop us.

Thomas pulled out the map, "there, that's it. it's a few hundred miles. based on the railways, everything aris told us, that's gotta be where they're headed. that's where they're talking minho. we take everyone who can fight. follow the roads where we can. we can make it back within a week." Thoams said, "A week? it took us six months to get here. we got over 100 kids here now. we can't just hang out here forever. after what we just pulled. you wanna wander off  to some random point on the map. you don't even know what's there." Vince said not wanting to follow Thomas's plan, "I do." Jorge said, "it's been a few years, but I've been there. the last city. that's what WCKD called it. it was their whole base of operations. if that city is still standing, that's the last place you wanna go, hermano. that's the lion's den." Jorge warned him, "it's nothing we haven't done before." Thomas said not afraid, "Yeah, with months of planning, and reliable information, the element of surprise, none of which have now." Vince said, "Vince I've thought this through. would you just hear me out?" Thomas said but vince cut him off, "last time we went off half cocked. I lost everything. you remember that?" Vince mentioned, "calm down vince, thomas has a point. it's our only option." I pointed out, "look, I know it's minho all right. but you can't ask me to put those kids on the line for one man. I won't do it." Vince said backing out. I sighed and folded my arms. the the radio started making the sounds of voices as me and newt looked behind us, "Crap hit the lights!" Thomas ordered. we grabbed our guns and looked as the helicopters went by, "Jezz, they're getting close." I said worrying, "Your right. we can't stay here." Thomas says looking at us. we told him goodnight as I walked to where me and newt sleep.

he was already asleep. I changed and climbed in bed slowly, "hmm, love is that you?" he asked with his raspy voice, "yeah, sorry I woke you up." I apologized. he smiled and pulled me close, "what would you wait to do if we make it to this safe haven?" I asked newt. I laid on his chest as it moved up and down, "maybe we'd settle down. have children. I don't know but I hope that's what happens." He said, "Well we should get up because I have a feeling Thomas's is gonna leave and find minho alone." I said sitting up, "That sneaky little shank." he said with that smirk he always pulls, "I'll get dressed and get fry." I said. he nodded and put a shirt on as I changed. I got fry and now all we have to do is wait for thomas.
