:: Chapter 1 ::

After finishing piles of paper work of completed missions, Numbuh 7 stood up to loosen her body with a stretch. A slight 'POP' off her shoulder signaled her stiffness had slowly worn out. She yawned as she sat back down on her chair before cleaning up her desk for tomorrow.

Rin had to admit, if she had not accepted this position as KND's Global Tactics Officer, she would be doing fun stuffs a KND Operative would do; from infiltrating the adult's scheming, and ridiculous plans in wiping out all of KND, to teaching the teens that they can't take the 'kid' out of the kids.

Being a Global Tactical Officer is one of the highest ranks given to a KND Operative next to the Supreme Leader, but it can be boring at times as Numbuh 7 would admit. Looking through the paper works of mission objectives and reviewing the completed mission reports, are the troublesome parts of Numbuh 7's job, considering she'll be reading tons of awesome and exciting missions that she wished she could have taken part of.

This was the regular task for Global Tactical Officer like Karin "Rin" Sanban (Numbuh 7).

Before she became a member of Kids Next Door Moonbase, she lived off as a little 7 years old girl with brains, robustness, and an alluring visage that no boy can take their eyes off of. Nearly every kid in her Kindergarten class would want to hang out with a girl like Karin.

Her younger sister, Kuki, a newly addition to Kids Next Door under the CodeName: Numbuh 3, is obviously the opposite of herself, minus the beauty that surprisingly the Sanban household bares.

Her demeanor sums up her potential to become the youngest Operative to ever set foot in Kids Next Door; recommended age recruitment into KND is 8.

Karin, or as she always referred herself as "Rin", was spotted with Mr. Wink and Mr. Fibb battling each other. Rin saved all the kids who are trapped in a dome like bubble that those villanous brothers put up to fend them away from their pool.

With her fast reflexes and knowledge to take them down, she was appointed from the Supreme Leader at that time - Numbuh 100 - to become a member of Kids Next Door under Sector V and carry her part as Numbuh 7.

Numbuh 7 was the leader with her fellow crew members at the time, Numbuh 5 (Abigail Lincoln), Numbuh 8a and 8b, Numbuh 9 (Maurice), and Numbuh 11 (Cree Lincoln). Together, they were the first batch of Kids of this Sector.

Sector V are well-known for their strategies and combats to defeat both teens and adults. Numbuh 7 would always lead them to victory. With her leadership and her cooperative teammates, they are unbeatable, not enough to match up with all other Sectors together.

Three years later into the present, Rin could not believe herself for accepting a troublesome job, but she knew her place. She wouldn't ever consider her benefits over others. She is a generous and a loyal Operative to her members of KND. Rin would never let them down.

No one would even step up to this position but herself.

"Ready to go?" The door opened to the Supreme Leader himself - Numbuh 274.

Numbuh 7 nodded before grabbing a folder under her drawer. Once she shut it close, she made her way towards the door in which Numbuh 274 gladly opened for her to go through before he did.

What a gentleman...

Both Rin and Chad began walking down to Moon Base deck and right in the S.C.A.M.P.E.R. to head down into Arctic Base for the Final Simulation for the Cadets Next Door.

Numbuh 7 smiled. "I've reviewed the files of the Cadets doing the Final Simulations today. I'm surprised they all passed with such flying colors. Especially this Nigel Uno kid..."

"Yeah. He is something else... A promising one at that..."

"Have you thought of putting in D.O.O.M.S.D.A.Y. into this years Final Simulation?" Numbuh 7 asked.

"Are you serious these Cadets can handle D.O.O.M.S.D.A.Y.?"

Rin genuinely smiled and shook her head. "Chad, if both of us can do it, then I believe he can do it too. And when I mean 'he' I was referring to this Nigel Uno kid. He's got potential."

Reminding her Commanding Officer, she pulled out the file that contained his information on the tests and exams he's passed with no mistakes and perfect timed scores for the past two Simulations. It is no doubt that Nigel is the necessity for the Organization.

"Look at his scores Chad," He got close to Rin and peered over the file she held for him. "Practically he even scored above me, ranking 2nd just right next to you."

"Well, I will be the judge of that." He smirked.

"What do you mean Numbuh 274?" Rin raised an eyebrow.

Both them finally reached the deck where the S.C.A.M.P.E.R.S. are all engine up and the members of Sector V awaited.

"Don't worry Rin, you'll see..."

The team saw Chad and Rin walked down the stairs with their Moon Base attire earning them the superiority amongst any Operatives in the world. Numbuh 5 and 11 ran up to Numbuh 7 with a huge group hug. Rin felt nothing but the warmth of rekindled friendship she has not seen for months.

"Bestie, we miss you so much!" Numbuh 11, a.k.a. Cree wailed.

"Numbuh 11 is right, can you come back with us please?" begged the little youngster Rin loved so much, Numbuh 5, a.k.a. Abigail.

"I'm sorry guys but Numbuh 274 here wouldn't let go of me." She eyed Chad earning her a grin.

"Well, you decided that you would take on as Global Tactics Officer on your own. Don't be blaming me on your mishaps toots." He deviously winked back to her as she rolled her eyes.

For a Supreme Leader, he still has his jockey, and flirtatious side of him. Rin couldn't help herself but feel butterflies fluttering in her stomach. But, for now, Rin is more focused on the goals for the Organization. She doesn't need anything distracting her that may jeopardize all the plans for Kids Next Door.
