We live in a world that preaches "The land of the free" but our government goes on to restrict almost everything. We say we're united but we're more apart now than ever. We live in a society where world leaders and government officials, people who are suppose to be leading their country to greatness and making positive changes, are fighting like pre teens over social media about who's better; insulting one another by calling one another names and what not. We have a leader whose so immature it's like having baby Herman for a president. Our child in chief makes fun of almost everybody, he even makes fun of a disabled reporter, talks about women like they're just pieces of meat, yet the vast majority of Americans continue to support him wholeheartedly. We are living in a society where even just going to school is scary. Church houses, convenient stores, marathons, and nightclubs, are being shot, blown up, and burnt down. As of January 1st, 2018 there has been 18 school shootings.. This is scary folks. Lately, you almost have to barricade yourself into your house just to feel even the slightest bit safe; and even then, you're still not safe. Families turning on families, sisters and brothers killing one another, mothers and fathers being murdered in cold blood by their very own seed. We are in a constant growing battle with one another over sexism, racism, religion, sexual orientation, and wealth. We live in constant worry about our appearances, whether we are skinny enough or big enough, whether our nose looks right or our lips are big enough, some strive to have that "perfect body'' so much so that they will go to unhealthy lengths just to get there. We are a very sensitive generation, it has gotten to the point of us being so sensitive that if you say or do even the smallest thing out of line someone takes it and makes the biggest scene possible with it. We are a generation where discipline for your children is barely even a thing anymore, honestly. You take away your child's cell phone and you run risk of getting hurt by them or them hurting themselves. Over a phone.. An electronic.. Teachers and other school staff can't even discipline a student without them taking it the wrong way, and over reacting. Another thing, I am, like I have stated in older posts, am a member of the Lgbtq community. Excuse me for how I think, this is MY personal thoughts. But it seems as though being a member of that community has become a trend. So many people have come out as bi, or trans, or gay or lesbian or, well you get my point. I realize for some people it could be that they are finally comfortable enough to come out of their shells because they have more people to help inspire them to do so, I am sure that for some that is probably the case, but for some I do feel as though they are only doing it to be doing it. Another topic being these trendy "challenges'' that kids and young adults are doing as of late. What idiot thought it would be a good idea to swallow mouthfuls of cinnamon? Who said, "HEY LET'S PUT SALT AND ICE IN OUR HANDS AND FEEL IT BURN OUR SKIN BECAUSE THAT'S FUN!" What imbecile said snorting condoms would be a good idea? .. No, I would love to know how eating a detergent pod would be fucking smart, excuse my french.. And apparently someone was trying to get the pods changed to look "less appetizing", anybody who would see a Tide Pod as "appetizing" needs a little bit of help.. But seriously come on people! Aren't we supposed to be an advanced or advancing race? We sure don't help ourselves look it. This world will crash hard if more people don't start working to make a positive change.
