Finally it was lunch break.

Adriana and I sat on our usual table.

Evan and Hayden winked at us and sat on their table of populars.

With all the cheerleaders who wore napkins and all the popular guys, who are also jerks and pervs.

And then I noticed Kyler making out with a blond bimbo. We had an eye contact for about second, then he concentrated on the blond bimbo. I don't know how girls could be so stupid.

"Hey Ellie and Adriana,"Nathan said as he approached us."Hi,"we both replied in unison.

"Wait, how did you know my name?" Adriana asked."Evan talks about you,"he stated and she blushed fiercely.

"Can I sit?"he asked.

"Sure,"I replied, as he seated himself beside me .

I looked at Kyler, only to find him all engrossed in the blondie.

"So,"Nathan said,"So,"me and Adriana both replied in unison.

"Do you guys always speak like that?"he asked.

"No,"again we both replied in unison we looked at each other and laughed.

"Why does Kyler hate you so much?"I asked. Oh fudge I did not mean to ask him that.

"It's complicated,"he replied and began eating.

Adriana noticed the awkward situation and thank God, decided to change the topic."I really hate cafeteria lunch,"she said."Me too, its disgusting,"I said, and Nathan had already thrown away his lunch in the dustbin.

"I think she fills worms in this,"Adriana said and then went to throw her lunch away and I followed.

"Have you ever crashed a party?"Nathan asked suddenly and Adriana nodded while I said no because I have never been to a party and Evan's party was literally my first party, so yeah.

"You have never crashed a party?"Nathan asked me.","She has never been to a party, until Evan's party came along. It was her first one,"Adriana said and he looked flabbergasted."All parties suck,"Nathan said.

"Why?"I questioned."Because they lack beautiful girls like you,"he said and my cheeks heat up. I saw Adriana grinning like an idiot, from the corner of my eye. I looked down at my lap, so that they would not see me blushing. I tilted my head a little to look around, thats was when I noticed.

Kyler was giving me a death glare and he was furious. He was scowling.

Oh god.

"Hey, mom. When will you come?"I asked my mother on the phone as school was over and here I was, standing alone.

"Sorry honey, can you catch a ride with any of your friends?"

"Sure,"I replied and looked around worried. Adriana was gone and I knew no one here except Kyler, Evan, Hayden and Nathan.

"Want a ride?"Nathan said as he stopped his BMW in front of me."Woah, nice car,"I complimented,"Thanks,"he said."And yes, I do need a ride. My mom apparently decided to leave me all alone, stranded on this island,"I said.

He laughed."I like your sarcasm, get in,"he said as soon as I was about to enter the car, someone decided to interrupt me and grab my arm. Dumb Kyler.

"Actually, I think I'll drop her off,"Kyler said and looked at Nathan, who didn't actually seem to mind,"Kay,"he said and drove off.

"I told you,"he said, and pulled me towards his car."What?"I asked."Stay away from him. He is not good for you,"he said concerned."What will he do?"I say,"He's safe and alot better than you,"I said as started looking outside the window.

We stayed quiet for 10 minutes, when he decided to break the unbearable silence,"I am doing this just for your safety,"he said softly."Well, don't care about my safety. We are not friends nor do we have any relation between us,"I said and got out of the car as we stopped in front of my house.

"Just listen to me, please,"he said. Concern was dripping from his voice."Look Kyler, you do not own me or my life. My life is not like a script of yours that you can control it and make changes in it, so stop,"I said.

"No,"he said softly and drove away. Why was I so harsh on him,there must be a reason to his warning? Oh no Ellie he just wants to play with you and wants to be the one to break your heart.

But he won't do that he knows how it feels to be heartbroken, my inner self decided to tell me. He is a player remember he is notorious for breaking hearts.

I chose to wear a black jeans and and sky blue shirt with my vans. I left my hair open and applied some makeup, like a little mascara and a cherry lip balm.

"Honey, someone's waiting for you,"my mom said from downstairs. Oh no, Nathan is here.

I went downstairs only to find that Nathan was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. His blond hair were messy, and he looked at me and smiled. Thank God he was not used to smirk because one thing I hate is smirking, especially when boys do it, because most of them are pervs, referring to Kyler and his dumbstruck friends.

"You look beautiful,"he said."Thanks, you also look beautiful, I-I mean handsome,sorry,"I said and mentally slapped my forehead."Ready to go?"he asked, although it was just two friends going out, I already had butterflies in my stomach.

You must be wondering that how was I going out with a complete stranger, but before all the highschool drama started, his mom and mine were friends, so we do know each other.

We arrived at a restaurant. According to Nathan after dinner, we would go for star gazing. I always loved star gazing. It's beautiful to look at those pearls shining in the sky.

"Earth to Ellie,"Nathan said waking me up from my thoughts."What will you eat?"he asked, and the waitress was looking at Nathan. She was beautiful and totally Nathan's type, with her long brown hair and ocean blue eyes. She had sharp cheekbones and full lips and, she was very tall, maybe 5"10 or something.

"Spaghetti,"I said."Same for me,"Nathan said, and she smiled at both of us. Wow, she is actually nice, or I just judge people too quickly."Sure, any drinks?"she asked. Nathan ordered a lemonade and I ordered a coke, then she disappeared.

"You know you remind me of someone,"Nathan said and looked at him."Who?"I asked,"My ex,"he said. He seemed very sad talking about her.

"I like your eyes,"I said. Wait, did I just say that. Nathan blushed. HE ACTUALLY BLUSHED.

"Is little Nathan blushing?"I said and pinched his cheeks."No,"he said."Your eyes are more beautiful,"he said. Okay, this guy flirts.

I blushed, then someone caught my eye.

God! Save me!
