Chapter 4

Ellie

"Honey, what happened?"my mom asked as soon as she saw me."Well a dumb, stupid jerk named Kyler decided to hit me In the face with a ball which weighed at least a ton and was as huge as godzilla,"I said.

"Stop exaggerating, did he apologize?"she asked,"No, he ran away beacause a tiger was chasing him,"I said, and mom chuckled,"It's not funny,"I said. I was infuriated.

"Trust me honey, the way you are connecting the incidents to random stuff is just stupid, and your stupidity makes me amused,"she said. How is she my mother?

"Oh honey,"My mom said after exact five minutes of silence,"Yes mom,"I replied.

"I have a business trip, and me and my colleague both are going,"she said."When are you going?"I asked."Saturday,"she replied, "So I am going to be home alone,"I said horrified as Saturday is day after tomorrow and I remember the last time she left me home alone I almost burned the house down.

It's not my fault that I left the cookies for an hour. It's my brain's fault why did it forget and I also set the temperature at 300° c. You can not blame me, I was excited for the cookies. What can I say I suck at cooking and baking.

"No you are going to stay with her son. He is your age and is very kind and also handsome. Maybe you two will end up falling in love,"my mom sighed smiling.

Apparently she and dad had fell in love in high school but he passed away when I was five. Although mom was grief stricken she controlled everything.

"God mom. That is gross. I don't like boys,"I said and mom turned to look towards me. We were in the house sitting on the couch and mom looked like she had seen a ghost.

"Are you lesbian?"she asked,"NO,"I said."I meant I am not ready to date now,"I said and her expression softened,"Honey, you need to move on. Not all guys are like Jeremy,"she said."Let's not talk about this,"I suggested and she agreed.

"So for how long will you be gone,"I asked."Maybe a month or two. You see it is a very big project that we are working on,"my mom said and I nodded. I just hope that the guy I will be sharing a house would not be annoying.

Or I could stay at Adriana's house.

"Mom can I stay at Adriana's house?"I asked."I don't know. Marissa's son does need a babysitter,"my mom said. Marissa, that name sounds familiar, although I have never met anyone named Marissa.

"What is he? Five?"I asked."It is totally up to you,"my mom said and I ran off to call Adriana.

"I have something to tell you,"I said."I also have something to tell you!!"she said excitedly."You go first,"I said.

"We are going to London,for a month!!!"she squealed and I just stood there with my lips in a thin line and my eyes wide open.

"When are you going?"I asked."Tomorrow, it was a surprise for me,"she said,"now you tell,"she said.

"I am about to share a house with, according to my mom a handsome guy,"I said and she just screamed."Oh my God, chill woman,"I said annoyed."How old is he? What is his name? Is he tall?Is he cute?"she asked all at the same time.

"Umm he is the same age as me, and I don't know his name, height or appearance,"I said .

"You are stupid,"she said."What if he is hot, you are totally gonna fall for him,"she said."Ha, no. I have to prepare for my exams,"I said and she just groaned."Exams are like three months away,"she stated,"I know," I said.

"Bye, mom's calling gotta pack,"she said and hung up.

Life is full of surprises, and you know what, I HATE SURPRISES, especially like these. Now let's see who the mystery guy is, because mom just refuses to tell me.
