a good ol' day with the boys. just like any other normal day.

we had just gotten out of the familiar pizza parlor we had eaten at countless of times, now on our way back to our homes.

reaching the intersection point, i bid them farewell and started the long, yet scenic, route to my home.

it was especially more beautiful seeing as it was cherry blossom season.

the beautiful trees were only to be seen for a full two weeks before the pink petals would begin to start dropping, only to come out again about a year later.

it was pure luck that i had managed to even get an apartment so close them, really.

when i finally make it to the trees, i begin to walk slowly, taking in the beauty of the nature around me. i lift my hands up to reach the petals that seemed to have already begun to fall.

looking towards sky, it almost looks like magic, the silhouettes of the tree branching out in just the right places so that the light shines brightly from behind.

no, it must be magic.

i close my eyes, humming while i feel the breeze blow through the space between my arms and legs. it's a nice feeling.

the weather hasn't been this nice in a while.

it's timing is perfect along with the blossom.

it's so calm and quiet, that i nearly jump out of my skin when i hear the skid of a car racing past me, trying it's best to come to a full stop.

i look puzzlingly in the direction of the car.

it's grey. and dull. and has scratches on the corner of the rear lights and bumper. it's something that looks way out of place in an area like this. something that gives me goosebumps just by looking at it.

my eyebrows furry in even more confusion when a girl, who couldn't be younger than 16 i assume, falls out of the car.

or more like she was shoved. thrown.

my first instinct is to run to her. to help her. but i'm stuck, unable to do anything as i'm frozen in my spot and staring dumbfounded at what has just happened.

a small, helpless whine pulls me out of my trance and i rush towards the girl.

"h-hey!", i yell as the car speeds away, leaving her laying on the ground in obvious pain.

i help the girl up, careful to make sure i don't harm her anymore than she already is.

"a-are you okay ma'm?"

no response.

instead, she softly pushes me off of her and gets up, acting as if nothing has happened. as if i don't even exist.

slowly, she makes her way to the sidewalk, right where the cherry blossoms are.

it's like nothing has happened.

there's an obvious limp in her step, her palms and knees are scraped and bleeding, but she's absolutely unfazed by it all.

i'm about to say something but she puts her hand up, as if she had known what i was going to say.

"sh. listen." she says.

her voice is soft and fragile, and i find myself softening my gaze towards her. so innocent and harmless she seemed.

she reaches her hand out, touching the tip of a fallen petal.

from this distance, with the sun at the perfect angle, the wind blowing her hair in all sorts of directions, she looks absolutely breathtaking.

i don't even know who this girl is and yet here she is, transcending beyond the beauty of nature.

i walk towards her until i'm standing next to her figure.

both of us have the same view now, and i can understand why she hasn't said anything. it's astonishing.

"it's beautiful, isn't it?" i say after some time, but when i look over to the spot next to me, she's gone.

almost as if the breezy winds had carried her away.
