Chapter 32

“Josh, Josh,” I yelled for him.

He came running at once.

“What? What happened?” He asked frantically.

“It kicked,” I said enthusiastically.

“Really?” He asked his eyes wide open in shock.

“Come feel it.” I said.

He knelt down and I slided my laptop aside.

He touched my tummy and was stiff.

I wrapped my hand on his and he relaxed a little.

We waited for his moment but nothing happened.

“Jujubee, papa's here come on baby kick,” I said.

I made a face at Josh.

“You try,” I told Josh.

“Okay,” he nodded.

“Hey jujubee, I’m your Dad, your Appa,” he finished and boom it kicked again.

He smiled proudly and so did I.

“Oh my god, that's my baby,” he said in disbelief and sat next to me.

“Excuse me, Mine too,” I said.

“Ofcourse, our baby,” He replied and wrapped his arm around me.

“Thanks Kals, so much, this feeling is amazing,” he said still smiling.

I looked up at him and just smiled.

We were close and he bent his head, I cleared my throat to avoid any awkwardness and got up.

“I’m going to rest now,” I said.

“Okay,” he replied.

“Umm Kalsi,” he called out.

“Yeah?” I asked turning around.

“Nothing,” he simply said.

“Uh Okay,” I smiled and went off to my room.

I was having breakfast when Aaliya walked in.

“Hey,” she said.

I looked at her in disbelief, she was talking to me.

“Hi,” I said.

“Want to join?” I asked out of courtesy.

“Actually, yes, “she said.

I served her some Aloo Paranthas and she dug in.

“Going out with Josh?” I asked.

She just nodded.

I smiled.

Josh walked in and was stunned to see us eating together.

“Um, Hi ladies,” he said awkwardly.

“Hey,” we both said unanimously.

He raised his eyebrows and then just shook his head.

“Ready to go, Ali?” He asked.

“Yup, just a moment I’m so hungry,” she said filling her mouth with huge morsels of food.

Josh walked in after a while,

“Kalsi, where's my blue file?” He asked.

“Second drawer,” I said.

“And my brown jacket?”

“Laundry,” I replied.

He nodded like he remembered the fact.
