Chapter One - The Call

Alex's POV

It was a bright sunny afternoon. I was watching tv in the living room eating a snack, when it was just getting to the good part. I got a phone call.

Ashh. Why? It was just getting to the good part. Who's even calling me? I answered the phone.

"Ello" I said eating a potato chip. "Alex?" A familiar voice said. "Umm..Yes" I said sitting up on the couch 'Who's this?' I wondered about it to myself. "Its dad" the person on the other line said. "Ben?" I said standing up from the couch.

I call him Ben because he's my step dad. My mom got remarried when I was 8 and they've been together since the accident. My mom died when I was 16 and Ben took me to live with him in Virginia. But soon my aunt came for me and took me away from Ben. I never knew why.

"Yeah. How's auntie Rose?" He asked on the other line.

He doesn't know anything about auntie Rose's death. She died the day she took me away from my step dad, Ben. When we arrived at her house. She said she had an important meeting somewhere. So I waited for her to come home. When suddenly I had a phone call from the police saying my aunt has just died in a car crash. Its been already 4 months and a half since my aunts death. I then moved in with my older cousin but she's barley home. I've been working my ass off to pay my stuff and saving up money to move to where Ben is at, in Korea.

"Umm..she's ok. I guess...N-no she's not!" I quickly said and started crying. "What happened?! Please don't cry sweetheart" Ben said. "I wanna move in with you Ben. My cousin Megan is barley home and I have nobody but my two best friends, Jake and Sam" I said. "You can come to Korea and live with me" Ben said "Really Ben?" I said cleaning my tears off. "Yeah, but under one condition" He said "Yeah sure anything. What is it? I'll do anything" I said sounding like I'm begging.

"Have you ever heard of K-Pop group EXO?" he said "Yeah, but I'm not really interested in K-Pop" I said taking a sip of my drink "Well, if your coming to live with me you have to like babysit them. Cause they're really hard to handle some times. They some times act like little kids" He said while I spit my drink out and started coughing.

Pfft. 'What are they, like five or something' I said to myself. "Are you okay sweetie" Ben said. "Yeah. I think I drank to quickly" I lied. "Okay. Get packing, I'll be flying to New York to pick you up tomorrow" He said "Okay Ben" I said quickly hanging up the phone and rushing to my room.

I got my lugged out and packed everything, almost everything. Geez, I'm in a rush. While I was packing I played some songs(EXO Overdose). It was a good song and the boys were cute but I can't wait to meet them in real life. 'At least I know what they're saying' I thought to myself. I did learn Korean, well, some of it. I stopped packing. I got tired, I'll leave it for tomorrow. Ben's coming tomorrow. I then started texting my two best friends, Jake and Sam.

Me~ [ Hey guys!! ]

Jake~ [ Sup? ]

Me~ [ Nothing. Just packing ]

Sam~ [ Where you going? ]

Me~ [ Korea, to live with my step dad ]

Jake&Sam~ [ Wait?! Live??? ]

Me~ [ Yeah. You guys can come with me since its summer ^-^ ]

Jake&Sam~ [ Sure. We guess. We have nothing to do this summer ]

Me~ [ Yayyy!! ]

Me~ [ Get packing. Ben's coming to get us tomorrow ]

Jake&Sam~ [ Okay! Byee ]

I looked up at the clock and saw it was 7:30pm. I decided to go take a bubble bath. Just soothing. After a 30 minute soothing bubble bath. I got out.
