Being Different Is Better

Chapter 1

Lance was your typical everyday male, but with one downside.. he was blind since birth.

But it never stopped him from doing things like everyone else can do, he was brave, smart, and determined to do anything.

Keith was deaf since he was 2, and refused to ever admit it.
He hated being treated differently, but he lives with the fact he is.

Lance and Keith were best friends as you could say, they had their fights, Keith would yell and Lance would just let him rant it out until he felt better, they had their bonding moments and always made sure to pick each other in group activities in school.

"Keith I'm not saying I won't play, its just.. last time we had a throw and toss game I ended up in the hospital because someone forgot to say catch." He huffed.

Keith watched him speak and his signing, rolling his eyes.

"Don't you roll your eyes at me, I may be blind but I can sense what people do."

"Whatever, but come on! I promise this time I'll warn you."

"You said that last time, and all the times before that." He glared.

"Fine! Okay, okay.. so then lets just play a board game?"

"Shiro better be playing if you don't have the brail cards for the game."

"I have brail cards for all my games because of you." He snorts.

Lance flicked him and smiled, getting up slowly from where thet were both sitting, he knew Keith's house pretty well and knew where everything was located unless it was moved, he walked to the table and sat down in his usual spot.

"I'll get Shiro, maybe Matt will join too."

"Matt's over?" He raised an eyebrow.

Keith didn't see what he said since he had already left to go get Shiro and Matt, he walked up the stairs, knocking on Shiro's door. "Shiro? Wanna play a game with Lance and I?"

Shiro got up from his bed, walking over to his door and opened it, looking down at Keith. "Sure, what game?"

"Probably Monopoly?" He shrugged. "Lance didn't wanna play catch with me."

"Maybe bec-"

He just glared at Shiro, knowing what he was going to say. "I know, dumbass! He told me. Now lets go." He went back down to the table after grabbing the board game, setting it up with Lance's help.

Once Shiro and Matt came down they all started the game.

"Just because you are blind doesn't mean you have an excuse to cheat." Keith elbowed Lance's arm.

Lance snickered and moved back a space, he knew the board all too well, handing the dice to Shiro.

Shiro rolled the dice and moved his player on the board. "God dammit.."

Matt snorts and holds out his hand. "Pay up pretty boy." He smirked.

Shiro rolled his eyes and handed Matt his owed money since he landed on a land that Matt owned.

"If Pidge was here she'd destroy us all and have all the money somehow." Lance chuckled.

"I swear she cheats." Matt mumbled.

After they had played Monopoly for over an hour or three they all decided to watch a movie, Mama Mia.
Both Lance and Keith sang to each song and Matt and Shiro would just laugh at them, but join in at some point.

Once the movie was almost done Matt and Shiro decided to retire to their room, Lance and Keith knew why they did, but they didn't care.
When the movie was over Keith shut off the TV and went to his room with Lance, they both got ready for bed and fell asleep.
