Chapter 1: Popstar Life

Bridgette's P.O.V

"NO! Stop!" I yelled as the strong boy in front of me threw my music sheets on the floor. He then proceeded to tearing my lyrics out of my notebook. I tugged strongly at his arm but it did little influence.

"Don't, stop!" I screamed as he grabbed my guitar. No sooner, a loud crash was heard and the beautiful oak instrument was smashed to pieces. I collapsed to my knees as I watched all the wooden pieces scattered on the ground. The neck of the guitar with the strings loosely attached to it were lying close to the sofa. My tears were flowing like a river stream.

Then, I heard the familiar heavy footsteps approach me. He held a suitcase by his side as he threw a picture frame on the ground. I flinched as the glass flew across the floor.

"I don't ever want to see you again!" he yelled before storming out my apartment door. I sobbed loudly as I saw the picture of us lying among the glass and wood. I retreated my knees and hugged them whilst letting my tears run free.

"AND, CUT! GOOD TAKE!" the director shouted. I opened up my arms and grabbed onto the producer's hand as he lead me away from the debris. I wiped of the extra tears as I joined the director by his side.

"You did amazing Bridgette. This is what I call a music video. Chad, well done!" the director said. My co-actor Chad, appeared from behind the crowd of producers and shook the director's hand.

"Thank you Mr. Dawson." he said cheerfully.

"Please, call me Greg." he said as he released his hand. I gave Greg a hug before he walked away.

"Good job, Chad." I said, giving him a hug.

"You're not so bad either Bri. You should try out acting." he said with a smile.

"Me, acting? Pfft, what kind of movie would want a disastrous singer to be acting? Last time I checked, none!" I said. He laughed.

"Well, you obviously haven't seen yourself. I got kinda scared when you started crying." he added.

"Aww, I'm sorry. It's just, I can't help it." I said as we started walking to where Greg and the producers are watching at the playback.

"See, that's what an actress is. Natural instincts." he said.

"Rubbish." I replied as we joined Greg and the producers.

"Bridgette, Chad, fantastic job!" he said as he played the final clip. I watched as I cried on the screen and screaming like a mad lady. How does Julia Roberts do it but still look perfect?

"Oh no." I covered my eyes in embarrassment.

"Don't, you were wonderful!" Greg complimented. I shook my head.

"It's not easy to pull something like that off in front of so many people, so you've done well. Feel proud of yourself for that." Greg said as he patted me on the back. I bit a nail as I re-watched the video. I've just got to accept the fact that I did that and that the music video is finally over!

"That's a wrap people! Clear out!" Greg yelled through the megaphone. I asked to borrow it for a litte second.

"Urm, guys?" I called through the megaphone. The producers around me slowed down.

"Okay, first off, I would like to thank Mr. Greg Dawson for shooting this video for me and the producers who helped. I would also like to thank the set directors for creating this set and getting all the props in place. I know there are a lot of small details on this set and it should be really hard to have put it all together, so that is a massive thank you to the set crew!" I said. Then everyone applauded.
