So I've decided to do just one or two particles at a time. In this lesson, you will learn about another particle, の (pronounced NO)
Here is a sample sentence
私の猫がかわいい (kanji)
わたしのねこがかわいい (Hiragana)
Watashi no neko ga kawaii (romaji)
My cat is cute (english)You Already know what が(ga) means. So we really only have to figure out what の(no) means.
Well, I'll tell you. It's possessive. It's pretty much giving you a hint that the subject we are talking about is MINE. Not in a mean way, but just making it clear that I'm not talking about any cat, or that cat. I'm talking about my cat. This is probably the most simple particle. It comes after the possessor, and before the posses-ee (if you will)
"Watashi no neko..." literally means "My cat..."
Easy enough?Again, make sure to leave a comment on:
