"Gone?!" King Abbadon slashed at the captain's face, nearly gouging out her eye.

The captain merely touched the scratches on her face, her demonic features unreadable as she studied the black blood on her hand. "The son of Apollo was able to light-travel away before my troops could capture him," she said.

The king snarled, advancing on her. The captain tensed, waiting for the second blow, relaxing when none came. The silence stretched between them.

Then a mad gleam appeared in Abbadon's gold eyes. He straightened with excitement. "How long will it take for Admirel Blyden to reform?"

"A few months to a year, Your Majesty."

King Abbadon frowned, then nodded to himself. "Fair enough. Revenge takes time, after all. And where is my dear arsonist, Fern?"

"In the dungeons. Admirel Blyden had ordered him to interrogate a prisoner." The captain cocked her head, cold eyes gleaming with interest. "Why do you ask?"

King Abbadon turned to the door, blonde hair gleaming in the torchlight. "In time... we shall give Camp Half-Blood a little visit."
