One gunshot was all it took for Theo and Liam to run over to Nina Stilinski's side.
"Are you alright?" Liam asked worriedly.
Theo glared at the younger boy and said, "Fend them off, will you?"
Liam nodded, muttering, "Okay geez Louise! Just trying to help."
As soon as Theo and Nina made eye contact, both of their eyes glowed. Theo and Nina were both in shock, as this had never happened before.
"Does-does this mean?" Nina asked, unable to form a complete sentence due to the unbearable pain in her stomach.
Theo softly nodded, knowing what the girl he loved meant. The two were mates.
"I'll come back for you, Nina," Theo said sadly, as another ghost rider raised their gun to shoot her again.
Swiftly, Theo laid her body in the nearest room, shut the door, and roared at the hunter.
"I swear to god, leave my mate alone!" He shouted and five seconds later, the hunter was dead.
