Tonight was the members of Talon's free night. They didn't often get these, so it was essential to do something with the time. Gabriel knew exactly how he wanted to spend his, with none other than his best friend and partner in crime, Amélie Lacroix. Little did he know, she wanted to spend the time with him as well.
He got dressed, something casual, not too fancy. He kept his mask, no one in their right mind would want to see what was underneath. As he headed to go out of the door, he was greeted by Amélie standing right outside ready to knock. The two stood surprised with reddened faces. Amélie was dressed in a silk purple dress that was just above her knees with sunglasses on her head and purple beach type pumps. Her hair was down for once, which he seemed to really enjoy.
"Hello there" He chuckled, looking her up and down. She grimaced, looking to the side.
"I was coming to ask if you wanted to.. go out for today. Since we're all free" She crosses her arms and looked up at him.
"So? Like a date?" He would tease her, placing his hand above her on the doorway, coming in close. He loved the way she would look away quickly, as if she couldn't handle such playful behavior. She pushed his face away and chuckled to herself.
"If that's what you'd like to call it" She began walking down the stairway, Reyes following like a lovesick puppy right behind her. The two got into the car together, having to be escorted. Not because of Reyes, but because of Amélie. She was Talon's precious weapon and if they lost her, all hell would break loose. They could care less about Gabriel, he came and went as he pleased.
"Someone might think we were famous being strolled around like this" Amélie chuckled, looking out of the tinted windows. Gabriel laughed a little, he was well known, name and all. Everyone knew whom he was. Yet Amélie? People only knew the face, but very few lived after seeing it.
"Where are we headed to?" She questioned, causing Reaper to smirk from under his mask.
"I had an idea in mind. You'll see" He only chuckled, knowing it would drive her mad. She didn't like surprises, that much was true.
She sat with her arms crossed, feeling annoyed. What was so secretive about where they were going?
After about fifteen minutes, the car had dropped them off at a very fancy looking restaurant. Widow's eyes lit up and her cheeks turned bright. She wasn't nearly dressed up enough to go here, Reyes had done this on purpose.
"What are we doing..?"
"Shh, c'mon" He grabbed her wrist, taking her inside before she could refuse. She was embarrassed. She was always a woman of high importance and status, walking into such a place as this dressed so childishly? Oh, she would've been mocked on the spot.
"Reyes.. let go of me... I'm not nearly dressed enough for this place.." She pleaded, lowering her glasses onto her eyes. She hoped no one would recognize her, but surely the purple skin was a dead give away.
"You don't need to look extra every time we go out" He tugged her to the front counter, where the fanciful man dressed in a fitting suit looked at them arguing.
"Extra? Your the one wearing that mask everywhere we go!" She barked at him, offended he would say such a thing about her.
The man watched as they argued over whom was more extra, until he had had enough and cough to get their attention.
They looked up, watching his annoyed expression as he calmly said. "Table for two?"
Now she was even more embarrassed, but nonetheless regained her posture and attitude. "My apologies, Monsieur. Yes, a table for two would be fine" As the smooth words leaked from her lips, she turned and gave Reyes a death glare.
