His printing was neat, I flipped the note in my hand before I opened my locker. I pulled one of the pictures out of the frame from my bag and hung it in my locker. Once the picture stuck I got into my truck and started for Mallory’s.

*SAM’S POV*

I walked into the empty house. Alone. I dropped my bag on the floor by the stairs and slid off my shoes, I didn’t eat lunch so I walked into the kitchen and found an apple. I chewed on the apple as I waited for Sadie to come home, I wanted to talk to her about what she heard and where she went.

I waited an hour before I gave up. I walked down to the end of the hallway that held my room and walked in, glass littered the floor from the lamps I broke.  How did she know what I said about not being able to breathe around her? I looked at my phone and had no calls or texts.

“Come over I need to talk again” I looked at the message before I sent it to Jack.

“Be there in a few” I paced around my room for a solid five minutes before I heard his footsteps down the hall way.

“Dude are you okay?” his face had concern written all over it.

“No, Jack I’m not. Sadie won’t talk to me” I ran a hand through my hair and kicked around pieces of glass.

“I’ve never been good with this kind of thing, this was always Jacks expertise. What did his letter say to you about relationship problems?” I noticed one of his cheeky grins come.

“Wouldn’t know, I haven’t been able to read it” I took a seat on my bed and put my head in my hands.

“Do you want me to read it to you?” his voice was couscous.

“Um yeah” I stood like a robot and walked to my dresser drawer and pulled out the sealed envelope. I turned and handed it to him, his fingers curled around the paper and slid it from my hand.

“Okay here goes nothing” I heard the tear of paper, Jack took a breath before he continued “Dear Sam, if you’re reading this it means I died. I wrote theses just to make sure everyone had something to help them get through everything. I’ve made paragraphs dedicated to problems you might have. And Sam remember I love you bud, and I hope you can help Sadie through this. Jack” I heard Gilinsky flip the pages, as he read I could effortlessly hear Johnsons voice.

“Does he have a paragraph on Sadie or relationships?” I held my head in my hands holding back the tears.

“Yes on both, I’ll read them” he took a seat on the love seat, I saw the tears grow in his eyes “so this paragraph is on Sadie. Sam I will warn you she’s sensitive, she can be the most annoying person in the world but Sammy boy I promise you she can also be one of the best friends you could ever make. And she only calls you an idiot when she loves you. It’s the first day of summer when I’m writing this but I can tell you like her, when I tossed her in your pool today with her clothes on I figured it out. I hope one day you end up with her, you’d be healthy for her. Just be honest with her even when it turns into a yelling match, she’s stubborn.” I heard Gilinsky chuckle.
