After our baseball practice finished. Our team captain and co-captain have decided to take us on a celebrity lunch. But there's nothing to be celebrating. We lose our last game. I'm just generally confused, and so is everyone else.

"I have a wonderful announcement," Liz spoke up.

"Yes, it's truly amazing," Chryssa added.

"Almost groundbreaking." Liz continued. Chryssa and Liz started giggling.

"Well, care to inform us?" Noelle asked impatiently.

"Ah, yeah. So this is about Min." Chryssa said.

"What?" Everyone asked shocked, even me.

"Wait. Groundbreaking?" I questioned angrily, standing up they both glanced at each other.

"Min-seo?" Diya said quietly pulling on my jacket.

"You're safe, for now," I warned her sitting down crossing my arms.

"Yer marked for death!" Akarsha called in a pirate-like voice.

"Anyway, Min has got better grades this past month." Chryssa said ignoring Akarsha's, "Akarshaness".

"She got all C's." Liz cheered happily. I tensed up as everyone stared at me even more shocked.

"So...Just, shut up," I said sitting up a bit.

"How?" Noelle asked completely shook.

"I helped," Diya spoke up smiling.

"Yep. Diya's amazing." I said calmly looking at her, she blushed and cowered into her seat hiding her face. She's so adorable, like a little puppy.

"Okay love-birds not at the table," Chryssa said jokingly. Akarsha and Noelle quickly put both their hands on the table and looked away from each other. I smirked at them.

"Your one to talk," I said to her.

"What?" Liz asked confused.

"Nothing, let's eat," I replied taking a bite off my plate.

"Okay, act weird?" Liz said quietly.

"So is that what we're celebrating?" Yuki asked.

"Yeah, it means she can stay on the team," Chryssa answered.

My phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and looked at my messages. Mom left a message. Damnit.

Come home now. We have something to discuss.

I choked on the food in my mouth. Diya softly hit my back a few times.

"You okay Min?" Diya asked softly.

"Yeah. I need to go home." I said sadly, standing up.

"But this is for you." Liz protested.

"I don't have a choice in the matter. Moms and all. You guys have fun without me." I tried to joke.

"I'll walk with you," Diya said standing up too.

"No, stay have fun," I said holding her arms smiling. The others are listening to Akarsha's and Chryssa's jokes.

"Okay," Diya said looking down.

"Don't worry about me, okay. I can take care of myself" I said reassuring her.

"Okay, but play nice," Diya said.

"I'll try," I said giving her a quick kiss on her cheek. She blushed and went to sit down with the others.

"No promises," I whispered rushing home.
