Single Strand

*Insert Something Mysterious Here*

I curl my pale fingers around a metallic thermous, the glare from surrounding lights force my eyes to squint.
"Do you prefer that one?" Dr. Brown leaned in.
I don't respond. If this is a test, than there has to be a correct answer. There were two thermouses on the table, and I got to keep the one I select.
I didn't care about what it looked like. I need the right answer.
"Don't worry about which one you think is right. Just pick the one you'd like the use." Dr. Brown scibbles some notes onto a piece of loose leaf paper.
I chose a random one quickly, beating bullets under the extreme pressure. I take a look at the thermos I fished.
It was hard and steel, metal, and most of all, blank. I smile weakly at the useless cup. It describes me, and the only reason I would keep this is for constant reminder of what I am.
I am depressed.
I am suicidal.
I am me.
Great way to start a journal, right? I know. The was handed to me by the concerned parent called "Dad".
"I swear, I will never read this journal for as long as I live. I just... can't listen to your thoughts in the same way you speak them. I need you to have someon- something to poor emotions onto." A leather bound book was handed to me, after my Dad's grand speech, of course.
I like to organze each of my entries with headings, so, if some of them are strange, let me know, Okay?
I like to write this out as if you'll actually respond to me, journal. I think I'll title the beginning something deep and- okay. I've got it, *Insert Something Mysterious Here*
I don't really care anymore. I'm going to finish this first day of with I list of what I am. Similar to up above.
