I watched as my breathe swirled into the crisp air.
I leant against my car, waiting for Cole.
Jess hadn't been in school today. Part of me was tempted to call over and see her. But I know it's not the right thing to do.
We need space from each other.
But at some stage, we're gonna have to talk to eachother.
I don't know if I'm ready just yet.
Or if I'll ever be.
"Hey man. You ready?"
I nodded at Cole and got into the car. He followed suit quickly.
I wasn't in the mood to talk. And thank god he respected that, not questioning what was wrong.
"Thanks man, for letting me crash at yours. It means a lot."
"Of course, I wouldn't let you go back there. We're basically family."
I smiled at him, feeling tears prick at my eyes.
I blinked a few times and turned the keys, starting the engine.
Thank god for mates right?
A/N: so yes it's like so short you can't even call it a chapter but I sorta forgot I was meant to be writing this sorry xxx
