Hermione had a funny little laugh. Merry peals of laughter were often marked by snorts in between.
Cedric's laugh, however, was hearty. Deep. throaty chuckles punctuated by pure laughter.
But they sounded the best when they were together, peals and snorts and chuckles all intermingling and echoing wherever they went.
