"I understand." Himika answered trying to hide her fear.

"What are you?" Kakashi asked seriously.

Himika looked down. "I wish I knew....."

"Could you tell us your backstory? Maybe then we'd understand." Kakashi suggested.

Himika nodded. "Listen closely, it's a long story. It's also not for the weak."

She breathed in and sat down before starting.

"For as long as I can remember I lived in a dark room with a ceiling, walls and floor made of stone, the room constantly reeked of blood. I was an experiment of some kind, I was supposed to be a weapon of mass destruction. But unlike jinchuuriki I don't have a monster, I am the monster itself. If you've ever wondered why I don't eat much there's a disturbing reason behind it." She tried to explain, skipping the part about food.

Her teammates looked at each other before looking back at Himika.

"I can't eat human food..." Himika started crying, knowing that they'd all hate her.

Kakashi was piecing it together, thinking of when she bit Zabuza.

"What do you eat then?" Sasuke asked.

"I eat h--." She stopped. "I eat....... Humans..."

Her team looked shocked.

"I don't want to, it's all I can eat....." She said quietly.

"When was the last time you ate?" Kakashi asked.

"Y-yesterday...." She muttered. "But he was already dead when I got to him...."

"Have you killed inside the village before?" Kakashi asked.

Himika didn't want to answer, she lowered her head. Kakashi got the answer he needed.

"You realise we have to tell the Hokage this right?" Kakashi asked.

Himika's eyes widened.

"N-no! p-please don't! Then h-he'll hate me t-too!" Himika cried.

Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto were shocked to see their strong team mate crying.

"I have too, I'm sure the Hokage will help you." Kakashi said in an attempt to calm her down.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Himika repeated.

"Why are you apologizing Himika? It's not like this is your fault." Naruto said.

"He's right." Sasuke sighed.

"I promise I won't ever hurt any of you." Himika promised.

"Can I see your eye? It looks kinda cool!" Naruto asked excitedly.

Himika noticed that her hair was covering her right eye.

"S-sure, I suppose." Himika muttered.

She wiped her eye's on her arm before brushing her ivory white hair behind her ear. Her red and black eye stood out when compared to her left eye which was brown. After everyone had looked at her eye Himika turned to her sensei.

"Do you have any bandages?" Himika muttered.

Kakashi passed her a roll of bandages and watched as she wrapped them around her head, more specifically her right eye.

"I don't want to scare anyone." Himika muttered as she finished with the bandages.

"I'm sure the Hokage can help you out." Kakashi reassured.

Himika nodded, hoping that she could believe her sensei.

Team seven packed up their things and prepared for the journey back to Konoha, Naruto and Inari cried for some reason, of course they were ignored by everyone else. Himika was dreading going to Hokage's office, not knowing what he would say. The trip back to the village seemed shorter than it was to Himika, Kakashi dismissed everyone and took Himika to the Hokage.

"We need to talk."

About an hour went by and Himika explained her situation to the Hokage. The Hokage said that from now on she wasn't allowed to hunt, he said he would provide food for her. Mostly torture victims that died, prisoners or suicide victims. Himika agreed to his conditions and was pleased that he let her stay in Konoha. She kept the bandages on and went to a clothing store to get a new eyepatch, so far only her team and the Hokage knew of her situation. Himika picked out a black leather eyepatch, identical to the one that she had ruined. After a very long day Himika went home to rest.

'I'll go see Shikamaru tomorrow.' Himika thought before getting ready for bed and drifting off into a dreamless sleep.
