-Ahh, the LIFE of a teen.
Perfect for those who are too young to understand how hard it could possibly be to be a teenager, and yet they want to be one. "I want to grow up and be a teen, I also want to drive a car, I also want a later curfew!" But no, it's much harder than it looks, it's something that we all went through and some still are. But if there is one thing that we all love, it's Friendships!
We all love our friends, we would follow them to the end of the earth, and don't say it's not true! Because we love our friends more than we love our own parents-
"That's enough mister Jameson!" Said miss René eagerly waiting for the next kid to step forward to come and give their speech about friendships. "Where did you get all of this information if I may be so bold to ask?" I answered: "Well ma'am, I wrote this speech myself, with a little bit of help from Veronica." I say looking at Veronica, a beautiful young 16 year old girl with curly black hair, eyes as blue as the sky and the best part, freckles! She started to smile and she looked down at her desk and started to blush bringing out the beauty in her little red cheeks. "Oh, I See, well miss Safiar, since you helped mister Jameson here with his' why don't you come here and tell me yours." She demanded in such a way that no one could say a word, she sounds ruthless in one way, and yet so sweet in another.
"Oh, umm... O... Okay ma'am" she said nervously, she stood up and walked towards the front of the class. But as she walked something tripped her and she fell face first. "Oh my!" Screamed ma'am René. "Are you okay?" Rushing towards her. Helping her up. "I think you should go to the nurse! Mister Jameson, help take her to the nurse please." She demanded. "Okay ma'am." I said, not knowing where the nurse's practition room is. But somehow I'll find it. As I help her out of the class I can hear the kids starting to whisper and gossip, I look around and there she was, Jessica Fernandez, a red head who thinks the world belongs to her, but it definitely does under her eyeshadow and all that make-up. Why is it that all the school's plastic bags look alike in every class room? And why do they speak to us like that? Is it because we are the actual people who could be a threat to them? Or could it be that they know something we don't? I couldn't help but wonder why Veronica fell, I'm too scared to ask her what happened because I'm sort of new in the school, she just helped me with the speech because she could see I was struggling with it.
"What happened?" I ask desperately. "Why did you fall?" I could feel the blood rushing towards my cheeks because it was a random question, but she answered it with a little smile. "Well, you probably saw Jessica looking at us, she's the person who tripped me with her school bag." With blood dripping out of her nose, and her hand Infront of her face, I could see that we had to hurry to the Nurse. "We'll speak about this later." I said because we have to walk a bit faster. "Oh, umm... okay?" She replied with a bit of uncertainty in her voice. I know we're not good friends yet, but I can see that we are definitely on the road to a friendship.
I forgot to ask ma'am René where the nurse is, but we walked out of the class so fast that we didn't even have time to ask. "Umm, do you have any idea as to where the nurse is?" I say a bit too formal, but I don't care, I'm a drama Student and I'm used to speaking in odd ways like this.
"Yeah, umm it's straight on and then at the second door to your right." She says calmly not focussing on the amount of blood dripping out of her nose. But we keep walking, in complete silence because I guess I'm too weird to talk too. After a walk that feels like forever, we finally get to the nurse.
"Nurse Trudy..." Says Veronica very inthustastic upon seeing her.
"Ah Veronica, back again for the third time this week, what happened now? Did the Plastics get ahold of you again?" She asks displeased about the way Veronica looks and sounds. I can't believe it's the third time in a week that Veronica had to come to Nurse Trudy for help. "Yeah, Jessica tripped me today in English and she humiliated me Infront of the class, but honestly, I'm so used to it now. I just like being the Wallflower." She said it in such a way that I couldn't help but feel empathy for her, because standing up to someone the way that she does is amazing. I mean being quiet is such a great trait to have in Highschool. Because one wrong word could end someone's mood and then they can ruin you life.
"Honestly I'm so glad for you Veronica. You're such a beautiful girl. But you have to sit for a bit so that I can see what happened to your face." Says Trudy discouraged about what she can do. Veronica goes and sits down on the bed, waiting for Nurse Trudy to inspect the damage of her face. "So how's the boyfriend Trudy?" Veronica says very disrespectful. "Haha, well little miss Sunshine if you must know, we broke up last week because of that one fight we had last year..."
"Wait, what happened last year?" She replied.
"Remember I told you that he asked me to marry him last year and I had to turn him down because of my profession?" She said very honest about her past.
"Oh no, that's such a bad way to break up over something that happened so long ago." Veronica said.
"Yeah, but it's fine. I don't really need any friends I have you children to look after."
I look at Nurse Trudy and I say: "Don't worry Trudy! We are your friends!"
She just looks at me and she starts to blush. "I can't say that we've met before little boy." She says. I start to blush, I said the wrong words at the wrong time. I've never even met her and now I'm telling her that we're her friends, I should have thought before I spoke. "I'm Daniel Jameson ma'am, it's a pleasure to meet you." I say eagerly.
"Trudy. Trudy Gee, it's nice to meet you. And it's nice to know that you are my friends."
