do you still remember?
it just felt like it was just last December,
when we had a hundred dollars in our pocket,
so afraid of pick pockets,
a hundred dollars was such a large amount,
it felt like we could've bought anything without a discount,
and still push a cart full of groceries,
handing out that 100 dollar cash with no worries,
knowing that it's more than enough,
while our bags are obviously overstuffed.
these days,
the branded are the craze,
luxurious items,
with a price that frightens,
Champion, Bape and Supreme,
the prices are surely extreme,
all these overpriced street wears,
are surely the child's dream but just a parents' nightmare,
I really wonder why,
some still buy,
even when the prices are obviously multiplied,
but they still seem so satisfied.
plain shirts priced at 5 dollars,
and still none would buy,
add a logo and it'll cost 500 dollars,
as a swarm of young adults come running by.
go on a shopping spree,
and buy things like they're free,
to come to the end of the month,
to find out for the millionth
time that you're in debt again,
as you spend more than you gain.
