Back in Derry, on the same day as in Hawkins, the losers were meeting up at Mike's place bc they all were traveling together in Mike's grandfathers pick up truck. They all convinced their parents to travel together. They didn't have much luggage bc they had most of there stuff in a moving truck obviously. All they had was bags of clothes to carry and snacks they packed for the long trip with a couple other things.
"I call shot gun!" Richie yelled coming up the street on his bike.
"Richie, shut the hell up! Wait till we actually get to Mike's house!" Bill yelled ,without stuttering, as he came down the opposite end of the street with Bev and Stanley not far behind him.
"Fine!" Richie yelled one last time before reaching Mike's house.
Richie stopped and got off his bike. So did Bill, Bev, and Stanley. Ben and Eddie came shortly after. Ben came on his bike as well. Eddie got dropped off by his mom who gave him a spiel about where to meet up when they all get to Hawkins. They all walked up to Mike's porch where he was standing waiting to greet them.
"Hey, y'all ready to go?", Mike asked the losers with a smile.
"I'm ready to get out of this hell hole of a town.", Richie said with an eye roll.
"Ikr, I can't wait to live a normal life and start over." Bev said with a sigh of relief.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's load the truck and get going." Stanley said heading to load his bike in the truck with his bag.
The rest agreed and followed behind Stanley. They all loaded there bikes in the bed of the truck. Eddie just waited for them.
"So, where are we all gonna sit?", Eddie asked looking around at the others.
"I call shot gun!", Richie yelled.
"Who says you get shot gun!", Eddie argued.
"I do! You gotta damn problem with that Kaspbrak!?" Richie argued back.
"Just shut the hell up! I'll take shot gun since you two can't settle this the right way." Mike said already fed up.
"Fine." Richie and Eddie said in unison while they rolled their eyes at each other.
"There is also two seats in the back. Who wants those?"Mike asked.
"I'll take it! And I choose spaghetti head over here to sit next to me."Richie said grinning at Eddie.
"Sure, trashmouth." Eddie rolled his eyes as he grinned back.
"Wow, you guys argue a lot but forgive each other real fast." Ben said pointing it out.
"How could I not forgive my Eddie bear over here." Richie said grinning at Eddie.
Eddie rolled his eyes as his grin grew bigger.
"W-well, I-I guess B-Bev, S-stan,B-ben and I w-will s-sit in the b-bed of the t-truck."Bill said while Bev, Ben and Stanly agreed.
Mike went and got his grandfather to tell him that they were all set to go. Mike got in the front with his grandfather. He put his bag in the back while Richie and Eddie got in the back with their bags as well. Bev, Ben, Bill, and Stanley got in the bed with the bikes. There was just enough room in the bed of the truck for them and their bags. When they were all settled in the truck they set off on there trip to there new home.
"You excited, Ed's?" Richie asked Eddie with a smile.
"Yah I am. I'm glad all of us are going together too." Eddie said excitedly.
"Yah, you can't separate the losers club not even for a second." Richie said resting his head on the head rest then looking back up.
"We should all have a sleepover when we get there. You up for it Rich?"Eddie asked Richie smiling.
"Yah, totally. I'm always up for a sleepover with with my Eddie spaghetti and the losers." Richie said grinning.
"Don't call me Eddie spaghetti you asshole." Eddie said, grinning back at Richie.
"Nah. I like calling you that. It fits you bc there is no other Eddie like u." Richie stated while messing up Eddies hair still grinning.
"There is no other trash mouth like u either."Eddie said pushing Richie's arm away but still smiling.
They both smile before looking away. Bev, Ben, Bill, and Stanley sat quietly in the back letting the nice March air hit their faces. They stopped once in a while for bathroom breaks and snack breaks. They ran out of there own snacks fast. Mike and his grandfather talked off and on. Richie and Eddie conversed as well with little arguments here and there. Bill and Bev talked most of the time together while Stanley talked with Ben. By the last hour of being in the car Eddie was passed out laying on his bag. Richie took short naps here and there through out the trip. He would look down once in a while at Eddie sleeping and smile. He was glad his best friend was there with him. Mike was awake most of the time staring out the window thinking about what it will be like in Hawkins. Bill was passed out as well laying against his bag with Bev laying on his chest. Stanley was awake laying down on his bag looking up at the sky. Ben was laying on his bag asleep. Soon enough they got to Hawkins. The car stopped.
Richie shook Eddie once or twice before he woke up. He opened his groggy eyes and smiled seeing Richies face.
"Hey Ed's, We're here."Richie told Eddie while smiling back at him.
"Oh my god it's been two days. Wow" Eddie said shocked.
Richie chuckled before shaking Mike awake.
"We're here, man." Richie told Mike.
Mikes grandfather got out first while Richie, Eddie, and Mike got out second. The rest were already out of the truck bc Stanley woke them up. They got there just as the rest of the parents arrived. They all greeted there parents except Bev bc today was the day she was gonna meet her new parents. They were all parked in the neighborhood they'd be living in. (by the way it's Lucas and Mike's neighborhood) The moving truck finally got there and parked in front of Mike's new house. Bev pulled out her polaroid camera from her bag. She wanted to take her first picture in her new home with her best friends, the losers club.
"Huddle in." She told them with a bright smile. As soon as they huddled in Richie grabbed the camera. He held the camera at the right angle to take the picture so Bev let him take it. It was there first memory frozen in time in there new home. This was the start of a new life for the losers club or so they thought. 🤡
