Notes crashed like waves
B flat and C sharp
My were tears dripping down
to the sound of a harp
The melancholy of the song
spread around me like a tarp
I listened
I heard
I found
The one bird
whose music
had such sad tone
It made me realize
maybe I'm not alone
That little bird
whose melancholy song
I heard
Had taught me something
That I had never learned
So when you hear that song
Just think of me
and realize
that no matter what
I will always be there
to share that feeling of
Despair
