"Dad!" I screamed, "Let's GOOOO!"
"Hold on a second, be patient." My father said as he tied my hair into a bow. He was gonna take me up Mtt. Ebbott for a hike, and I couldn't wait! I had my toy knife ready in case I needed to fight any bad guys!
"DAAAAAAADD!"
"Okay, okay, I'm ready, lets go." I squealed in delight, and zoomed out of the door of our house, my father trailing behind me. The path up the mountain was only a few roads up. As we walked, my father laid our a few ground rules.
"Alright, kiddo. Listen up. There is a legend that those who climb up Mtt. Ebbot never return. It took a lot to convince your mother to allow this trip, so you must stay close to me, alright? You're young, you want to explore, I get it. I have to be with you at all times, okay?"
"There's the mountain!" I said, pointing ahead. My father repeated himself.
"OKAY???"
"Yes, papa." I replied, picking up my pace, my feet hitting the dirt path that led upwards.
It was tiring work, hiking up the mountain, my father and I sat on a few large rocks near the top to rest.
"We're almost to the top kiddo. You've done a good job."
"Thanks papa." I replied, observing a rabbit that had just hopped past.
"Now, as we're approaching the top, I want you to........" I stopped paying attention to watch a bird peck the ground.
"........can you do that?" I snapped out of my observing, and without hesitating, I replied, "Yes." I had no clue what he had said, but I didn't care. I wanted to venture up to the top of the mountain.
