Steven had inform Gabriela of the phone call he receive from the Oakland community collage, she has an appointment today June thirty it was also her birthday, as she was expecting to be at work she knew once she went she won't make it back to work, she call Valerie to ask for the day she didn't seems to have a problem, she wasn't so much use to taking a day off, only since the happening with her daughter going off and no one could find her and she had a lot of days off from that, for after she went missing she spend the rest of week home, her collage interview had kept her late the day she went , one of the day she was too drunk and sleep in, now today she was given the day again, since she start working it was only Saturday out of each week she took from work for they close for Sundays, her mother was the one who was looking after her daughter after school in the afternoon, she was glad now that she can go to Steven for Selena to watch her she was bothered that her mother had to leave the farm each day to care for a child she got pregnant with after they spend their hard earned money send her to collage instead of a diploma in nursing she bring home a baby, her mother had finally admit they were disappointed if Steven hadn't said something they probably wouldn't admit it, she's getting the chance to make it right now that she's going back to study to be come a nurse,
The knock on her door make her turn "mom you're still here I thought you leave as well" Gabriela said
"I wanted to give you this" she hand her some money "this is to help out"
"No mom you don't worry at all every thing is alright I've all the money I need" Gabriela with tears in her eyes hug her mother, "thank you mother but already you and dad did so much I'll take it from here"
"Martha smile " OK "
Gabriela hug her again
"Don't be late now and enjoy your day"
"OK mom I'll do that" she grabbed her things and head out her room her mother came out behind her closing the door behind her,
Gabriela got to the collage and got number seventy five, it took her the whole day before getting through it was way in the evening before she leave she call Rena to find out if she got home as yet she was on her way, Gabriela told her she was looking a ride and she herself would get home soon,
Just as Gabriela hang up Steven call Rena telling her he was picking Gabriela up he would take her out and probably to spend the night out Stevia would stay at his house for the night,
"I call so you don't of to worry" he said
"OK thanks for letting me know" they said goodbye and hang up, Gabriela was still standing by the road when she saw the car stop at her feet the window rolled down and she saw Steven, its a week now since she haven't seen him he spend father's day with her but since they only talk over the phone, he hasn't call today wondering how he knew she would be here this hour and why he was here he was working on the night shift usually he was off to work by now it was nearly six in the evening when she look at her watch,
"Are you going to get in?" He ask
Gabriela climbed next to him once the door was open, "hey" she said with a trembling smile
"Hey" he said starting the car he haven't said much he was just driving he took a turn one from the road that was to take her home she look at him
"Relax gabby I'm not kidnapping you"
"How am I to tell you haven't said where we're going"
Steven smile at her, "oh happy birthday, I forgot I didn't say it"
Gabriela believe it was Rena who remind him that today was her birthday,
"Sorry for being such a bad boyfriend"
she ignore him turning to watch the road wondering how after a few months of living here he came to know the road so well almost better than she who live here her whole life,
He turn and smile at her again, "won't you ask where I'm taking you?"
"I asked, you refused to say, I'm not asking again"
"OK"
She thought he would say but no he went silent until he stop at a hotel resort when they were inside someone show them to a fancy room on the sixth floor, Gabriela was surprise at the decorations a set table for two with candles red rose and champaign and a bottle of wine on the bed were gifts she turn never knowing he was so close bumped into him he held her by the waist
"Last time we ended up in a hotel room bad things happened, but out of that bad thing we made a daughter bad things will happen tonight but no baby will be make its why I have a gift for you" he hand a small gift wrapped box to her "go on a head and open it"
She ripped it open laughing when the box of condom was reveal, " very cute Steven Scott, so Rena remind you off my birthday and you quickly did all this"
"I never forget your birthday how could I you and I didn't do anything on your first birthday that we spend together but tonight its going to whether you want it or not"
Gabriela turn back to look at the decorations, smiling feeling good that he went out the way to do this
He came up wrapping his arms around her waist "we'll spend tonight here" he whispered kissing her neck "shall we hurry and eat for u have something I can't wait to give you" Gabriela felt him push up on her bottom and jump turning to look at him.
"Come on Gabriela by now you should get use to this by now"
"Should I?" Gabriela ask pushing closer to his lips "I want it" she whispered
" most definitely want it" she kiss him he ease her back to look in her eyes "Gabriela you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen " Gabriela knew that couldn't be true for Sophie was very beautiful she was indeed a gorgeous woman well put together but since he tell her that she'll accept it like how he sees it, he kiss her longer harder and deeper they ended up skipping dinner,
Gabriela stretch herself rolling from her side to her back Steven was watching her with a smile on his face
"Good morning beautiful" he said
"Morning" Gabriela said shyly,
"While you were sleeping I order breakfast I know you must be hungry since you didn't have dinner but its still hot so while its cooling I'm hoping to have you cool something down for me" Steven said pointing her to his hard throbbing man hood,

They both giggle as he lean to kiss her getting up he went to get food for them, they enjoy eating from each other hand and mouth, Gabriela for one love things this way it was the kind of relationship she dreamt of having, a man she could spend time with and enjoy the time spent with him though she wasn't expecting it to be a man who was already married,
"Let's spend the day over here we'll have dinner then drove home later" Steven suggested
"With the need to have him to herself a little longer Gabriela quickly said yes with out taking a second thought, having a little fun wasn't something she get to do often and since it was her sister in-law day to shop she was going to spend more time in the company of Steven,
She didn't have much to do only a small amount of laundry some ironing, she can do it later after scrubbing her bathroom and wash the few things she has, then go to bed, " you can also count on me to help you out with what ever you have to do", Steven reassure her trilled that he offer, she gladly point out her chores and he decided to iron,
Selena took Adam and Stevia to play with the boys on her way to the store, they had request for her to leave them
Rena was already out shopping so they were left at home with their uncle and grandparents, for a while they played until Stevia felt tired
"Pumpkin honey" Rena called to her from where she lay on the ground she look up on Rena, "yes aunt" she answer
"Are you OK?" Rena ask
"Of Crouse she's OK" Raymond said going on his knees to kiss her as she lay on her back hugging the stuff toy which was given to her by her father "she's only a little tired from all that playing earlier, right pumpkin?" He ask but she was too busy singing a song neither of them could under stand more than what was said clearly about fire engine, and flames
"Why my mother haven't come?" Stevia ask but before Rena could give her an answer she raise her head "mommy" she said "daddy" and ran to them Steven picked her off the ground hugging and kissing her once Gabriela put the bags out her hand he pass her over, Gabriela lay her on the sofa and sat with her after awhile she take the bags to the room came back, to find Steven and Adam going out bid them good bye and went to the kitchen, to see Rena getting ready to wash the dishes, and did so,
"Sorry I didn't tell you I would go out I didn't know anyway" Gabriela told Rena
"Steven had informed me that's why Stevia stay by his house Selena had taken her only this morning, so how was it how did you enjoy your birthday?"
"I had fun I didn't know he was going to take me to a hotel in fact I didn't even knew he remembered my birthday, I even though you mentioned it and he heard" Rena shook her head
"Sister in law I felt so good being there I feel so good now I can't help my feelings"
"And who is asking you to Gabriela, girl live a little some more" Rena told her they both giggle rubbing foreheads,
"Steven is coming back he's going to iron for me so I can clean my bathroom and wash" Gabriela whispered "hopefully I'll get to clean my room"
"Need me to put Stevia with the boys?" Rena ask
"Not tonight, I don't think Steven will spend the night, after all we did our potion"
Rena smile at her as they came in the living room they both knowtist Steven was back
" Adam off to bed already? " Rena ask
"He was near sleep when we drove home I help him off he was about going over hill when I turn his door" "He snores?" Rena ask
"More than you" Gabriela said
"I don't snore" Rena said
"You do" Raymond told her make Steven laugh, he was on the sofa with Stevia and the boys playing dice Gabriela went to her room to get the basket of clothes for ironing Steven got up leaving the children, while he iron Gabriela did her cleaning, he was finish long before she was and was sitting with Raymond and her parents, Stevia was asleep across his lap, while Rena put her boys to bed,
"No one was planning on telling their aunt goodnight?" Gabriela ask walking in the boys room,
"Good night aunt" they all rush to her hugging her"
They get to have the biggest room in the house with a bunk bed that the two bigger boys sleep on a smaller one for the youngest, another that wasn't in use,
"You should move the crib bed in to your room that you and Steven don't have to sleep on the floor" Rena said
They were standing outside the children's door, as it close behind them,
" you're telling me to make preparation for a married man
"If its needed" Rena said and they laugh,
"Are you going to take her" Steven ask when Gabriela came down with Rena, Gabriela life her off his lap, he got up soon as she did Gabriela but believe he was leaving,
"Oh lord" Martha said getting off the sofa slapping her hip " poor body is going" she said
"Not from what I'm seeing Mrs Simmons" he said
"You might not see it my son but I bet my husband can tell you" Steven laugh resting her hand on his shoulder, before walking off as her husband got up to follow her,
Rena Raymond Gabriela and Steven sat in the living room the television on as they stay focused on it but not much to watch
"Got a drink there, ah Raymond Steven ask
" sure man" Raymond answer going for the half bottle of vodka, he has in the kitchen, with some ice Steven drain his glass have another drink, before pushing the glass away Raymond forgot he didn't do much drinking so have another for him self,
"I'm beat" Steven complain I think I'm calling in sick tomorrow" Steven grumble
"Are you drunk?" Rena ask
"Not really in that sense, must be the sex Gabriela sure keeps a man wanting more"
"Steven" Gabriela snapped
Rena laugh turning to look at Raymond who just sat looking
"Go home Steven" Gabriela said pushing getting up from next to him but he held on to her by the waist of her pants
"I was joking"
"Ah ah ah there I laugh" she push his head, throwing his head back for a while he just laugh then sigh take her hand "OK let's for get about that, here sit she did and his arm came around her pulling her closer for her to rest on him they both fall asleep when they awoke Rena and Raymond were gone
" hey" Steven said his lips close to hers
"Hi" Gabriela said sleepily, "what time is it?"
"Way past your bed time"
"I must check on Stevia"
"Yeah you do that" Steven said, she got up from next to him going to the room she put Stevia to the bathroom when she came out Steven was laying on her side of the bed Gabriela lay Stevia next to him with his eyes still close he role on his side to hug her, kissing her cheek softly Gabriela hear him whispered "daddy love you so much" apart of Gabriela felt guilty for keeping him out her life so long,
"You should be considering to get her abed" he said
"What for?" Gabriela ask climbing between them,
"What's that for are you trying to push me off the bed on the ground?"
"No but how else will I feel you poking me?" She tease
"Like this?" He push up against her bottom
"Oh my" Gabriela shiver,
"You want some I know but you'll have to wait"
She want it alright, but as he said she'll have to wait after the long night they had last night waking up was just the same as falling asleep, they had sex for lunch, how can she have more tonight, Steven arm came around her face covering her eyes Gabriela move it away but he puts it back again,
"Stop" Gabriela told said "are you trying to blind me?"
"Move then so I can hug my daughter I don't want to sleep next to you"

"Steven" Gabriela said holding his hand around her waist,
"Go to sleep"
"I'm going to sleep"

"Please"
"Move you just want to have sex, with your daughter right here, what kind of mother are you?"
Gabriela slap him before moving over to the other side, she heard him giggle she turn to see him hugging Stevia,
"Sophie is right you're no fun"
Steven laugh aloud,"what's wrong with you women and sex?"
"You just do it so well that's all"
"Stop teasing Gabriela not working"
Gabriela give up and went to sleep leaving Steven and what he has tempting in his pants,
He was behind her in the morning poking her like he wanted the night before but Stevia was also a wake so nothing could happen she got out of bed leaving them there, Steven was still asleep and Stevia was just sitting up in bed watching him sleep
Gabriela start breakfast because she was the first one up she was setting the table when everyone came in, as they were about to sit Stevia cried out from the room Gabriela, Rena and Raymond ran out to see what was happening, she was laying underneath Steven arm as he was still sleeping and she couldn't get out,
"Help me mommy" she said
Gabriela move to the bed to lift Steven arm so she could get out,
"Alright honey?" Gabriela questions
She turned to look at her father still sleeping then smile at her mother and hug her, Rena and Raymond laugh as Rena pick her up,
Once in the kitchen Gabriela feed Stevia with warm cereal, soon as she was done eating she ran back to the room, she was laying on Steven shoulder when Gabriela check on her,
Steven slept in for the entire day, as he had gotten the day off, he was surprise to see Adam there having dinner with everyone, when he woke freshen up and came to the kitchen he came over and hug him rubbing his head before taking Stevia out her chair to sit next to Adam, Rena serve dinner for him before taking back her seat, he left with Adam shortly after dessert,
Much as he wanted to stay with Gabriela and stevia who suddenly starts crying but he wanted to spend time with Adam too he doesn't want him feeling left out, and after all he's still his son
"Make her stop crying Gabriela put her to sleep or something" Steven said when he call and heard Stevia still crying,
"I'm trying what more can I do?"
"Let me talk to her" he said a wear now that Sophie enters the living room to take a seat across from him she sat in silent as Steven use the phone Stevia stop crying soon as he came on the phone, he didn't stay on for long he said goodbye to her it wasn't long after he hang up she started begging her mother to read her abed time story, Stevia was fast a sleep half way through the story but Gabriela finish it just the same, she fix her in bed her plan was to avoid taking a shower but as she was about to climb in bed she got another call from Steven telling her she should take a shower and not to go off to bed with out one, all she did was to giggle,
For all of this week Steven was on the night shift, Gabriela saw him less,
It was the holidays Stevia was staying at Selena for her parents both went to the farm, Raymond work each day Rena continue to take the children to her parents, Gabriela would went to pick up Stevia each evening Sophie was always at the stairs looking down she hate coming here for she image how bad it made her feel seeing the woman that cheat with her husband up in her house all the time it wasn't like she has a child before and what they share was in the past, she still love him and they are sleeping together, Gabriela greets her by waving and was surprise she answer, when she was at the gate she turn to see her watching her Gabriela has the feeling she knew they were still involved,
Saturday on her way to the market she saw her drove by the look of in contentment on her face Gabriela wonder if is only when Sophie saw her she has that look, she didn't feel bad anymore about taking up so much of her husband times but she loves him so much more than Sophie ever will besides she is the mother of her child,
Steven got home in the after noon on Saturday for he had stopped to ship instead of having to go back Sophie was sitting in the living room with a bottle of alcoholic wine a glass in her hand while drinking from the bottle, she look up at her husband as he came by, come over here honey and share a drink with me I've something to tell you"
"What that you're an alcoholic, and that your drinking problem is getting worse?" Steven ask, "you should check into a rehabilitation center and do something about yourself,

"You're right I'm sleeping with Gabriela, and I have no reason to hide what make you think I was hiding it"
Of all the nights you stay by her house leaving me here countless nights, we don't even spend time together "

She turn and see Selena and Adam standing in the door way, she snapped, "get out of here you ruined my life I hate you" she threw the bottle of liquor at them Selena had to close the door to stop it from hitting any of them when the bottle smash into the door she look at Steven and walk away stepping over the mess she created looking hard at Adam as she walk by him and Selena at the door,
"Sir I'll clean it up" Selena told Steven,
"That's OK I'll do it, it's my fault anyway I was the one who married a crazy woman who's intentions is to drive me crazy as well" he stoop to the floor and began to remove broken pieces of bottle, Adam hand him a scope and a cloth, "thank you, Adam you can take a walk"
"I can?" He ask excitedly hoping to go by Gabriela, "I can go see Gabriela?"
"Yes but let me see if she's home" Adam wait as his father took his cellular phone out his pocket and call Gabriela before the first ring she answered,
"Gabriela are you home?" Steven ask telling her Adam wants to come by her Adam heard her say yes before his father got off the phone he was hugging Selena and waving to his father Selena smile, thanking god that even thought Steven wasn't Adam's real father the love they show to each other was still there, Steven had explain to her since it was now in the open Adam knew now so it wasn't a secret anymore thanks to Sophie,
It be came like hell living with Sophie for weeks he just lash out especially when Adam and Stevia were in the house Steven had warned her never to lay her hands on any of them, and Selena see to it she didn't,
Saturday Steven full in at work for someone, he had a long day at work and was hoping for some sleep he didn't want to be home to hear Sophie grumbling, the house was quiet for everyone had gone off to bed Raymond let him in and said goodnight as he got out of bed to get the door, Gabriela was taking a shower, and came out to find Steven leaning over Stevia's bed,
"How did you get in?" She ask "did you use your fireman techniques again?"

She ease away from him just like she was still hurting she was still angry at him he could tell from her face expression he kiss her nose he was holding her tightly so she couldn't move, after putting up a fight he let her go, got out of bed she watch him went into the bathroom and just left after he got dressed, he went home after work Gabriela didn't see him until Tuesday, she was getting ready for work and he came to take Stevia to his house she was waiting on arise when he came back stopped to pick her up though he was alone she got in the back seat Steven watch her from the rearview mirror as she try to avoid looking at him "Gabriela" he said getting her attention, she was huffing and buffing as if to blow at any cost, "Gabriela I'm sorry" she look at him then hang her head,
"Don't tell me you're still angry at me for something that happened so long ago its been four days now"
She hissed and said nothing,
"Later we'll go back to taking it slow"

She was fresh and ready for him when he came she gave him something to eat he took a shower then he was all hers,

Steven learn for the first time that Stevia was celebrating her birthday on the same day of Adam on the tenth of October, he throw them a party at Gabriel's home, Adam get to spend the night with the boys, the days move on so quickly that it was Christmas season, Steven mother had organize a party at their home, and again everyone in Gabriela family attended, joy was grew more and more fund of Gabriela for she came to realize she was everything Sophie was not, since the labour day cook out she haven't seen her but could hear her shouting and cursing each time she called the house, at some point she used to believed her brother wasn't doing anything to work things out she see why now,
Gabriela was planning on treating Steven for his birthday, but didn't know what to do remembering last year he surprised her by taking her for that night in the hotel she didn't want to take him away from the children then she thought of just a little party Sophie and joy helped her planned,

"That's more than you deserve" Gabriela said giggling as she kiss him, Steven realize so much was missing from his life until Gabriela came he silently thank god for sending her back, sorry that it has to be the way it is for he's still a married man, he have the feeling Sophie won't give him a divorce for him to move on and be happy with Gabriela and have a family with Adam and Stevia, maybe one day marry Gabriela,
As he and Gabriela's love grew stronger Sophie make more fuse he was trying hard to avoid a fight so he spend more nights at Gabriela,
When he was with her the days were so much calmer she allowed him to spend enough time with the children, and often times the four of them, he really wish to have Gabriela home with him so they all can be content he didn't need to asked Adam he could tell he was loving each moment he spends around Gabriela she shows him so much love,
As times passes by days were turned into week, weeks into months the day for Gabriela graduation was finally here she was excited she wanted this day for a long time but it came on the right time, she was glad Steven had took the day to attend he was sitting up front each time she turn she saw him smile at her, she couldn't see the others from where she sat but knowing that they were there make her happy,
She made her valedictorian speech with out a hitch for seeing Steven make her motivated, she heard Rena's voice and look to see her in the crowd, waving and smiling,
It didn't take long for her to get a job at the community hospital two weeks after graduation she became a working girl,
For a few months Gabriela work like the independent individual she was though Steven had told her he would do what ever was their to be done for their daughter until she started working again he still shop for her and gave money for her Gabriela was now able to help with the bills and put more in to shopping start a insurance policy for both her parents for she knew they wouldn't accept her giving them the money,

"Let me see you've gone through collage graduate, became a nurse you help with the kids, there's nothing more it's all taken care of"

By the next two months Steven divorce finalized, he gave Sophie some money and buy her a house on the coast as she said she would move far away from him she did and he was glad it was so he hope not to run into her again,
