Chapter 2
Emma had pulled out her cheetah suitcase and started to pack. Just as she grabbed her underwear and bras, Rose came in.
"Where you headed to?" She asked walking over to Emma
"Heading to Val's. Kat's picking me up after I text her I'm ready." Emma responded
"Do you have things planned?" Rose asked handing Emma her backup hairbrush.
"Thanks. Oh, Kat found a nearby castle and we're going to check it out tomorrow."
"Sounds cool. How big is it?"
"I don't know. None of us do."
"Will you text me a pic?"
"Sure."
"Great."
Emma finished packing and texted Kat:
Hey, I'm done. Come and get.
Kat replied instanly:
Sure. Be there soon.
Emma turned to her sister and gave her a hug goodbye heading towards the front door. Headlights were seen flashing from the window. It was Kat.
"Hey, Emma. Let's go" Kat said as Emma walked toward the car.
"Ok,ok. Give me a second," Emma turned to see her mom in the doorway," See you Sunday, Mom. Love you."
"Love you too, sweetheart. See you." Emma's mom said turning around and closing the door behind her. Then Emma got in the car with Kat.
"So you ready to get your mind blown by the castle?" Kat asked
"Wait, you've seen it?" Emma wondered
"Course, not. But I can't wait to see it."
"Me too."
Emma and Kat reached Val's and spent the rest of the night watching movies and eating popcorn. It was midnight when they went to sleep!
