Yeah yeah's P.O.V

I couldn't help but stare at her. I love her eyes, they're hazel with a bit more green than brown and her brown hair flowing perfectly towards the middle of her back, unfortunately I had to stop staring before she sees me and thinks I'm a creep.

After school we have a game and the new cheerleaders are watching us play and the old cheerleaders cheer to let the new girls know what to expect. I couldn't stop thinking about her becoming a cheerleader and us being the cutest couple in the school. But I think I ruined my chances with her when I said I couldn't wait to see her in her uniform, I wasn't completely joking but I'm not one of those guys who take advantage of girls and I was not being a pervert.

I walked into the locker room and instantly I heard Leslie's name, who's talking about her and what are they saying? I walk over to the guys and listen.

"Yeah the new girl's so hot! I heard people saying they're thinking on asking her out." Smalls said.

"Hey Smalls, Are you talking about the new girl Leslie?" I ask

"Yeah, isn't she something? I've never seen someone so beautiful in my life! I'm thinking about making a move today at practice, maybe I'll make a home run and she'll come running into arms."

"Hey if anyone is to make a home run it would be Benny." Bertram cuts in and says. Benny smiled. "But she wouldn't want him. She'll want me."

"Guys she wouldn't want any of you so just hush up!" I say getting annoyed. They just looked at me and then went back to their conversation. I don't know what to do. What if Benny does make a move on her? There's a lot of girls who like him but he doesn't think any of them are worth it so he just ignores them but Leslie isn't like those girls and I can tell he has his eyes on her.

I walk out onto the field and stretch. I look up at the bleachers and see her looking at me in her cheer uniform, I smile and wave. She waves back and I blow a kiss at her. She laughs and acts like she's fainting.

A minute later Benny walks out and looks at her. He's checking her out and I start panicking he cannot ask her out. She's mine! He starts walking over to her so I run up and sit down next to her. Benny stops and looks up so I put my arm around her waist.

Leslie P.O.V

Yeah yeah put his arm around me I didn't know what to do so I just let him, plus it felt nice, i felt safe. He started rambling on and on asking me how my day was and stuff and I couldn't help but notice a guy looking up at me. He was cute. He smiled when he saw me looking back and walked away.

"Who's that?" I ask pointing to the boy.

"That's my buddy Benny. The best baseball player in town." He says. "But you know he's no Babe Ruth."

I kind of know who Babe Ruth is so I somewhat understand. "Oh okay." Is all I say.

"Why do you like him or something?" Yeah yeah asks all worried.

"No, I don't even know him." I laugh,"why do you care, do you like me?"

"Who said that? Is it obvious?" He says. My eyes widen in surprise and happiness, then he says, "I mean I don't know if I do I just met you."

"Okay." I say and laugh. He's so adorable. I lay my head down on his shoulder and see Kim give me a thumbs up. I quickly move my head. "Um, I'm gonna go get a drink."
