(This episode is set in the late 20th century – old New York)

(Ian and Diana enter hand in hand at the Cancer patient’s fundraiser charity ball)

 

-Ian digs his nails painfully into Diana’s arms-

Ian: This is important. Don’t fidget. Don’t lack confidence. Don’t speak unless spoken to. Do not interfere and don’t you dare go ratting out the sham of the black money that goes into this gala as per your conveniences.

-Diana mutters helplessly-

Diana: When have I ever?

-Ian glares at Diana-

Ian: Do not interrupt me when I am talking. Respect your husband.

You will hang on my arm like the perfect Mrs. Knightly and smile when I tell you to wordlessly. Got it?

-Diana nods-

-Enter Media coverage host-

Host: And here we have Mr. and Mrs. Knightly!

Mr. Knightly, how do you feel about the honor of being one of the rare V.I.P’s for this gala due to your immense funding and support towards the charity?

-Ian smiles charmingly-

Ian: Why Mr. Ringer that much hardly matters. My existence has been blessed enough to be born into riches. Unfortunately these patients who were worthy of that fortune were stripped of it. It is not the title adorningly set upon me by this charity, but my own conscience that feels proud to have made good use of my money by have helped these deserving lads.

Any more questions Mr. Ringer?

Host: Oh please Sir, do call me Benson.

As you must have noticed, rumors have been circulating about Mrs. Knightly here, shopping at Wal-Mart downtown for clothing items this previous weekend. Is this simply an act of unbreakable habit? Would you like to confirm or den-

Ian: Denied.

-Ian pulls Diana harshly towards the entrance and growls-

Ian: I believe I demanded you not to do that again! This is awful for my reputation!

Diana: It shan’t happen again.

Ian: Good. I am going to fetch myself a drink. Don’t talk. Don’t look around. Just tay here.

-The two part ways-

-Diana moves to the corner when a hand suddenly pulls her away-

Diana: My apologies Sir, but what are yo-

William? What are you doing here!?

William: I might be your lawyer Ana, but I am your friend first. You wanted out of this sham of a marriage Ana; I finally found a loophole within that monster’s contract!

Oh Ana! Aren’t you ecstatic? Now you could finally be free! You can leave him!

Diana: I- I- I c-can’t…

-William frowns-

William: Why not Ana? You don’t have to be scared… I testified my theories, this loophole is valid! What’s stopping you, Darling?

-Diana sighs defeatedly.
