I began to turn around when I heard more knocks on the door. Okay there can't be more of them? I went to open the door but Bilbo ran in front of me, opening the door revealing two much younger dwarves. The one on the left had blonde hair and a short beard with two braids framing his mouth, and the one on the right had dark brown hair with only a little bit of stubble, and a cheeky grin.

"Fili," the blonde one said, "and Kili," the brunette followed. "At your service," they said in unison as they took a bow.

"H-hello," I stepped out from behind Bilbo, blushing a deep red as the two of them stared intently at me.

"And who are you?" Fili quickly asked, almost shocked that I was there.

"M-my names Ivy Baggins, pleasure?" I finished with a courtesy.

Kili stepped forward and extended his hand, "on the contraire, the pleasure is all ours," he finished with a cheeky grin. I don't think I have ever blushed so furiously. I took a step back as Bilbo tried to close the door and send the dwarves on their way, only to fail miserably as the dwarves pushed their way into our home.

I watched on as they went to help Dwalin move a larger table into the dining room, but I couldn't help but watch Kili, silly thought. I did my best not to make any eye contact with either of the brothers, rather choosing to go into the kitchen to stay out of the way of the commotion. Honestly watching uncle bilbo go mad over the couple dwarves in the house was the most exciting thing to ever happen to me, he was fuming and to make matters worse there was another knock on the door. I hopped off the counter and walked toward the door

Bilbo threw down Kili, and Fili's things and made his way to the door, "Oh no. No, no! There's nobody home. Go away, and bother somebody else. There's far too many dwarves in my dining room as it is. If this is some clotterd's idea of a joke, I can only say, it is in very poor taste." The second Bilbo opened the door eight dwarves fell into a heap in the entry way, I could barely contain my laughter.

Standing behind the tower of dwarves was, "Gandalf!" I exclaimed excitedly.

The dwarves began to disperse and make their way through the house to either the kitchen, or the sitting room. They were carrying plates of food, chairs, and tables preparing for a large feast. It was quite amusing to witness, as bilbo argued with certain dwarves and Gandalf was counting all the dwarves like a stressed out parent. Not to long after everyone but Bilbo and I were seated around the table and beginning to eat. If you could even call it eating. Food was being thrown everywhere, and the larger dwarf caught food in his mouth. The room was quite a mess, and I hated to admit it but I was rather hungry.

"Lassy, would you like some food?" Balin seemed to read my mind. He moved over allowing for me to sit in between him and Gandalf, and across from Kili and Fili. I couldn't seem to find my voice, so a sufficient nod had to do. Balin offered a warming smile and handed me a plate full of food. I don't think I can eat all of this. As kept to myself, I couldn't help but noticed the two brothers across from me. They were not like any dwarves I had ever seen, as they seemed to be more like the race of man, yet they acted in every way as a dwarf. They ate a lot, laughed loudly, and definitely enjoyed their ales... they definitely had to be much younger than everyone else here.

As I sat there in thought I didn't notice that the older of the brothers, Fili, had gotten up until he nearly stepped on my plate of food, while holding multiple glasses of ale. Nothing in my entire life could prepare me for what happened next. The loudest, and most enthusiastic burping competition ensued, and honestly I couldn't help but slightly smile. They were all so merry and happy. However while I found it amusing Bilbo certainly did not. Typical.

I had gotten up to go and find my poor uncle, because seemed as though he would lose it at any moment, however it appeared I was a little to late. When I found him he was yelling at Bofur for drumming with his silverware.

At the mere mention of anything happening to them, a smirk then formed on Bofur's face, "Oh, d'hear that lads? He says we'll blunt the knives." Kili then began to sing, shortly after the rest of the dwarves joined in.

"Blunt the knives, bend the forks
Smash the bottles and burn the corks
Chip the glasses and crack the plates
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!

Cut the cloth and tread on the fat
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat
Pour the milk on the pantry floor
Splash the wine on every door

Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl
Pound them up with a thumping pole
When you've finished, if any are whole
Send them down the hall to roll

That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!"

Much to bilbos displeasure I couldn't help but join in on the fun, I myself tossing many of the plates.

"Iva-"

"Don't." I quickly cut him off, with a glare that could kill. "Don't say my full name."

With a huff he finished his statement, "Ivy Baggins that was not acceptable," only to receive an eye roll from me, much to the dwarves amusement.

"Oh lighten up uncle, if you weren't to busy having a fit you would have noticed everything is completely clean," at the end of that statement Gandalf stepped to the side to show the perfectly stacked plates and silverware.

Everyone's chatter was silenced the second there were three stern knocks on the door.

"He's here."
