"What a fortunate turn of events." My boyfriend teased, making me laugh lowly, not wanting to disturb the peacefulness. Once my laughing seized, I pressed my forehead against his.

"I've never been more scared than I was after hearing the impact of the car crash."

"I'm sorry for scaring you."

"You have nothing to apologize for. My mind just conjured up the worst situation possible. Before I even got to the scene of it all, I thought you three were goners."

"Hey, hey, baby. Don't cry." Jonathan tried to console me. I didn't even know I was crying until his thumb swiped the tears from my cheeks. "I'm here. We're here. It's okay."

"I know. I was just so – Fuck, I forgot how scary it was to be in love." I sighed out. My statement got a chuckle from him, which caused a small grin to appear on my face. I pressed our lips together for a quick kiss before pulling away to rest my head on his shoulder. "But, God, is it worth it!"

"You got that right."

Days passed without another hitch.

Tuesday, my mother and I had a nice day out since we were transitioning from winter to spring.

Wednesday, I had to go to my office to collect new projects, as well as update my boss about what has been going on with Mr. Montego's project.

Thursday, Jonathan and I were able to finalize Mr. Montego's advertisement, which he absolutely loved. The aging man decided that he would hold a big reveal dinner party the following week, which my boyfriend and I were obviously invited to.

Friday night, I decided to take Jonathan out on a date so that he could release some of the stress he was holding onto since Monday.

"Bye, girls. Be good for Macy." He said as we stood in his doorway, preparing to head out.

"We're always good, Daddy!" Alyssa scoffed.

"Yeah, Daddy. Maybe you should be good for Winston." April smirked.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny." Jonathan replied, clearly unamused. I chuckled, receiving grins from the twins as well as their father. "Okay, we're leaving now."

"Bye, Daddy!" They said simultaneously. "Have fun!"

Jonathan and I headed to my car after closing his front door. We got in, and I drove off as soon as the vehicle warmed up.

"Any clue you can give me about what we're doing tonight?" Jonathan questioned after a few quiet minutes. I momentarily took my eyes off the road to glance at him and smile.

"No can do. I'm going to need you to put on the sleeping mask in the glove compartment as well."

"You're not going to take me to my demise, are you?" He asked jokingly, yet he still pulled out the mask and placed it over his eyes. I laughed but gave no response to his silly question. It wasn't long before soft snores were escaping his lips, letting me know that he fell asleep. I didn't blame him; we were in for a semi-long drive.

An hour and a half later, I found a parking in the parking area near the docks. Shaking Jonathan slightly, he woke with a start, making me smile again at his cuteness.

"I'm blind?!"

"No, you have the sleeping mask on."

"Oh."

"Stay put. I have to grab something from the trunk before I help you out."

"Aye. Aye, Captain."
