Go by memory, not the map

Hey guys nothing to say really except I really hope you like this so please tell me what you think.

I couldn't move. I felt like something very heavy was on top of every part of my body, suffocating. I tried moving again but just felt like I was being pressed on harder by the amount of weight on top of me. I tried moving just my fingers this time but I then realized I couldn't feel them I couldn't find them in my own body. I couldn't tell my body parts from each other at all I just felt, numb.

I gave up on moving after about the fifth time I tried but now I could hear this buzzing in my head and it kept getting louder but this time I didn't hear the voice I was expecting to hear.

This time I just felt the weight slowly slipping off me and the voice was becoming more clear now but I still couldn't make out what they were saying.

"Sam?" I heard a voice say.

"Sammy girl? Can you hear me?" The same voice said again.

I wanted to answer them so badly but I still couldn't find my voice.

"Sammy girl if you can hear me please squeeze me hand flutter your eyes do something." The voice asked again and I could finally put a name to the voice I was hearing. It was Steven's voice he was the only one who ever called me Sammy girl.

I tried again to speak but I still couldn't find my voice but I could tell I was getting close I could feel my own heart beat now and I could feel my hands.

I tried moving my fingers but I couldn't tell if they had moved so I waited, when I heard Steven's gasp I knew my hand had moved then I felt4 the pressure on my hand again for about 3 seconds before it was gone again. Letting me know that he felt my hand move.

Then minute by minute I started being able to feel my body parts again. Soon enough I found my lips.

"Steven?" I heard myself say but it was a very low whisper, and slowly I was able to move again I could finally feel every part of my body.

I took a long and deep breath and looked up into the eyes of Steven. He smiled down at me.

"Steven." I said again my voice coming out stronger than before. His small smile turned into a full out goofy grin.

"Hey Sammy girl. You alright?" He asked me his voice very soft.

"Yeah I'm fine now I don't know what the heck just happened." I tell him even though I knew exactly what happened. But I wasn't going to make my friends worry over something like this.

"Good but don't do that again you scared the crap out of us Sammy girl." He tells me.

"Weren't you the one who told me I couldn't scare a person to save my life? Hm... I guess you were wrong huh?" I tell him a smirk on my face.

He scowls at me for a second and then he starts to laugh.

"Sammy girl you only scared us because we thought you were going to die or something but you can't purposely scare someone and you know it." He tells me and I resist the urge to punch him.

"You're lucky I feel a little weak otherwise I would've punched you by now." I tell him and for a second he actually looked a little taken back because he knew I meant it.

"Okay you guys stop screwing around. Sammy are we gonna keep going or do you wanna stop?" Mariah says finally making her way into the conversation.

I wasn't going to give up yet no I wouldn't not when I felt this close to her, that girl, like I was almost there but I had to keep going to find her. If having to go on farther to find was what it took then there was no way in hell I was going to stop now.

"Hell yeah we are gonna keep going." I tell her and I start to stand up again when I notice I'm still holding that damn map in my hands.

Don't go by the map, go by what you remember.

Those were her words to me and for some reason I trusted what she said.

Go by my memory not the map, okay I can do that.

"Let's go guys" I told them and pretended to read the map. But I barely even glanced at it before I started to recall what I had done in my dream.

I went through everything as I did in my dream and soon we found ourselves in the same tunnel as my dream the only difference is there was a door there no but it wasn't locked.

"You all are sure about this right?" I asked my friends turning to face them and looking into all their eyes waiting to see any hesitation, there was none.

Not one of them spoke not one took their eyes off me but instead they all nodded. I nodded back at them and I took a deep breath and shut my eyes as I reached for the door handle.

I cracked the door open and I opened my eyes then I opened the door all they way and the first thing I saw was a blinding light. But I heard a very little voice in the back of my head and it was saying.

There was no turning back now.

Hey guys I know I know way too long of a wait but I am still in Colorado for nationals but I will be home tomorrow so I will also be updating The Eyes as soon as I get back to Az anyways I really hope you liked this if you have any questions feel free to ask okay?
