Chapter 2 - 'Time to face my fear'

Its been a week since Veronica gave me the mission, shes constantly blowing up my phone wanting an answer, right now im sitting in class, just thinking to myself "what excuse to I give this time? What am I even going to do and how the fuck am I supposed to catch this guy?"
No one knows that I'm a double agent, and I doubt they'd understand how it feels to be a normal college girl AND an agent, but I am determined... sort of... I mean, this is my job? Don't I have to try hard? So I decided to take the mission, this meant meeting up and 'befriending' the to-be-assassinated. I mean, I can't loose my job just because I hate the dead jerks.
The next day ,the sun was shinning,for once.I finally got some nerves to go to Veronica's office and sat down "I'll do it " I said ,Veronica spun her chair around and stared at me with a tense and angry look "good!" ,"yeah okay", I replied "you need to go and you need to go now" , "why?" ,"Zoe just go!! Ypu have wasted enough time making the god damn decision" I get up and walked out ,I sighed as I walked down the dull street,the sun was gone ,dark clouds filled the sky, all I could think about was 'do I really wanna risk my life again?'. I got home ,changed clothes , packed all my stuff ,ate dinner and told my brothers, Dylan and Nathan and my parents that I'll be gone for a while "where are you going " my mother asked ,"I can't tell you but I'll be safe ,don't worry"

"Zoe ,just call now and then so we know your OK" Dylan said ,I hugged both my brothers and then walked out and slammed the door behind me ,I couldnt' ever tell my family about my job... I hate lying to the people that care so much about me but I have no choice...this is going to be a really hard mission ,I've always been really bad at making friends,it's time to face my fear....
