This really couldn't be happening right now. The last day of school's break where we get to celebrate the day of doing absolutely nothing and my friends ditch me. Great. My friends promised me they wouldn't do this, but they lied.
The worse part about this is that my mum just dropped me off at about 4:30 and I have no ride back home until she comes to pick me up. It's about 5:58 now. Sadly, I can't just text her to come and get me because she's at my aunt's and she lives about 3 hours away frim here. What a wonderful way to spend the last night of freedom before going back into the gates of hell.
Deciding to just enjoy my last night with my plans gone all wrong, I walk around the carnival, filled with too many people, frightening rides and neon bright lights. Out of all the days during school break, they really had to make the carnival on the last. How nice. As I was looking around, I stopped infront of the ferris wheel. It looked so high up in the sky, nearly touching the clouds. The bright lights near the top of the ride would make the clouds look like cotton candy, nights like this were truly something to live for.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" said a raspy voice, I turned to my side catching a gaze with a green eyed beauty. "Yes, y-you" I slap myself mentally, "I me-meant um, uh... not as b-beautiful as you." I stutter making a fool out of myself. The green eyed beauty laughs at my silliness putting her hand out, "I'm Lauren and you are?" she smiles. "Lucy." I say shaking her soft, gentle hands. "Are you hear with anyone?" I sigh, "unfortunately, I'm not. I was supposed to come here with my friends, that is until my great friends ditched me." I roll my eyes. A chuckle then escapes her lips, "great friends hmm?" she raises an eyebrow with a smirk on her plump lips.
"Well lucky. I'm all alone too, maybe we can go around the park together?" I form a grin, violently shaking my head. "YES, YES, LET'S GO." suddenly realising how over excited I was, I clear my throat. "I m-meant... yeah, cool whatever." I say walking right beside her looking around at yet again all the beautiful lights.
"So, Lucy. What do you do?" Lauren asks as we continue to walk around. Looking to Lauren, I notice that she looks a little bit older than me. Maybe twenty or twenty three? I didn't really quite want to tell her that I was a 17 year old senior due to the fact of me probably scaring her away.
"Ummm... I study." I say blankly.
"Oh, you go to College? Sounds exciting. How I miss my friends and professors so much." sounds like she's a college student herself. "Must suck, school starts back up tomorrow." I groan, "yuck, I'm not so excited about that." I say. "I can see." Lauren giggles. "Let's get something to eat, I'm famished" Lauren says placing her hands onto her stomach, "sounds like a plan because me too." I laugh. Lauren then grabs my hand and drags me towards where all the food vans and tables were.
She then tells me to sit as she stays standing, "What would you like?" she asks. "Tacos and fries please." I say taking money out of my purse, "No, I'll pay for it." Lauren says smiling and walking away. I then place my elbows onto the table, cupping my face into my hands smiling at the fact of how nice Lauren was. Staring into the distance, I contemplate weather or not to tell her that I'm actually a high school student, part of me is scared only because I'm actually having a really great time with her. I then pray to a God or something that she's atleast just only a year or two older than me.
"Tacos and fries" Lauren says putting a tray down infront of me, "what a weird combination." She laughs.
I thank her as I start to dig into my meal. "So, Lucy... I'm not quite done asking you questions." She smiles, "Ask me anything, fire away." I say almost choking on my taco. Really, fire away? Who even in this world says that, I give my self a mental knock in the head. Nice going, Lucy.
Lauren giggles, "Okay, so are you in a relationship?" she says straight up. Yet again, I choke on my taco. "Yes, actually. I am." Lauren frowns, "with my bed." I grin. Lauren then rolls her eyes crossing her arms, "ha ha very funny." she says smiling. "I mean, I do love sleep." I say, "I mean you'll need as much sleep as you can get. College isn't easy." I give a small smile. "Haha... yeah." I say.
"How old are you, Lucy?" my face then turns pale, losing words for a few seconds.
"Guess." I fake laugh.
"Guess? Really." Lauren says smiling, "okay then. You look pretty youthful, let's say about 19 or 20?" I laugh awkwardly. "How old are you?" I ask, "25." I choke. She's 25!? My prayers didn't work this time, I sigh. "Well... how old are you?"
"Are you in a relationship?" I say trying to avoid the question. "I'm not actually. But you still haven't answered my question." she raises an eyebrow. "I, uh-" just before I was about to say another word, my phone dinged, meaning I got a text.
"Ummm I have to go." I say reading my mums text as she was here to pick me up, "my mums here to pick me up." Lauren frowns. "Can I have your number?" she asks, "of course." I say as she gives me her phone to put my number in.
"Tonight was really great. Thank you, Lauren." as I was about to walk away, Lauren grabbed my hand pulling me back. She then cups my cheeks and places her lips onto mine giving me a kiss. Moments later, I found myself responding to the kiss. Feeling her soft, plump lips onto mine.
"Thank you, I'll see you sometime." Lauren says pulling away, "s-see you" I stutter walking away.

It was the start of the first day of school, walking through the hallway, my friends couldn't help but apologize for the 20th time.
"We're sorry we couldn't come! Plans just came up so suddenly and we just couldn't make it." they plead, I roll my eyes. "Guys, like I said. It's all good, I actually had quite a good time." I smile replaying the memories of what happened last night.
"You hooked up with someone didn't you." My friends smirk, "nope, actually I did not." I sigh. "I just met someone, a girl" my friends then pat me on the back shouting and giggling. "Oooo give us the dets."
"Is she hot?" Jaden asks.
"Did she have big boobs?" Phoenix says licking his lips.
"Where's she from?" Jala smirks.
"Annnd that is none of your businesses." I laugh, "no fair! You need to tell us!" I roll my eyes, "she was beautiful. You happy?" I sigh.
"No I-" right before another word could escape their lips, the bell rings. I then tell them by and quickly walk off to my first class, I already know the way so it only takes me about 2 minutes to get there.
Once I get to my class, entering the room, I walk up to the teachers desk clueless to weather or not there is a seating plan.
"Teacher?" I say not knowing the teachers name yet since she is new, looking at her back turned to me, I noticed that she had quite a beautiful figure.
"Yes" as she turns around, her face goes pale as if she's seen a ghost.
"Holy f-fuck." my jaw drops, "what a-are you doing here?" I can't really lie to her anymore so I tell her the truth. "I'm a student here..." I confess feeling my face get all sweaty.
"And I'm an Algebra teacher here." Lauren says looking at me as if she's made the biggest mistake of her life.
Fuck, God no. This cannot be happening. This has to probably be the worst day of my life, why her. And I really thought I had a chance, please God, kill me now.
