UNTOUCHED GLASS

*Brad walks over to pete while he was eating with patrick and Brendon*

Brad: *he shyly walked up to them looking down*

Brendon: uh hello who are you?

Brad: uh my names brad and my buddies are over there *he turns and points to them as Neil and Adam waved back* and I heard you played bass is that true pete

*Brendon turned to look at pete*

Pete: uh ya I do play bass why do you ask?

Brad: I was supposed to play bass for a band my friends and I wanted to start but my mom got sick and can't take care of my bro

Pete: are you asking me to take your place?

Brad: I mean I was just wondering if you could

Pete: he looked at patrick and Patrick just nodded* ya I guess I could join

Brad: oh that's great. Can you come over to my friend adams house and we could try a few things?

Pete: ya sure. Can Patrick and Brendon come to?

Brad: yes they can

Pete: alright I'm in

Brad: * he walked away dancing and said "yes" under his breath*

*Pete smiled*

Brad:* came over to Neil and Adam* yes Pete is in and we're all having practice but I'm just coming to watch

Adam: alright, we will all meet at my house after school

Neil: * he nodded as he finished his lunch*

*lunch had finished and they went to the rest of their classes*

*they went to Adam's house with Pete and set up their stuff*

*Adam went to Pete and gave him a sheet*

Adam: here are the notes and words for the song

Pete: *he nodded*

Adam: this song is called EDDIE so let's practice

Neil: *he clicked his sticks together* 1.2.3.4

*then Phil started playing as pete joined in and Adam starting singing and got deeper into the song*

Adam: (lyrics to Eddie) "people come and stare. Wondering, who's really there. He smiles and says, I could've been one of them. Ohh, Eddie,Eddie"

*they finally finished the song while making a few changes and finally finished the entire song with perfection*

Adam: dang Pete that was amazing. What do you think Brad?

Brad: * he nodded* yep he's perfect, you're a natural Pete

Brad: what did you think Neil? *Brad asked as everyone turned to look at Neil*

*Neil shrugged*

Neil: he's good I guess

Brendon: I GUESS???!!??

Brendon: HE'S AMAZING

Neil: whatever you say beebo

Brendon: what?

Neil: uh nothing....

Patrick: you guys are amazing

Adam: thanks

*they started to pack up as they went home and Brad walked with Neil*

BRADS POV
Neil looked kind of depressed when we praised Pete for being good.
I don't even know why Neil is acting all weird. I'm starting to believe him but it can't be true, I don't even understand what he's talking about. We're all just 9th graders interested in music, it's not like Neil to come up with a crazy idea like this.

Neil: I looked at Brad as he seemed zoned out as we were going home

Neil: Brad? *I called his name to take him out of la la land *

Brad: * he shook his head* y- ya

Neil: you ok? , you looked like you were in deep thought

Brad: ya it's just that-   I'm worried about you Neil you never act like this. You're seeing things and talking about the future like you actually know what's going on.

Neil: Brad, listen to me please believe me...

Neil: in 2018, this guy named Trevor....has made a time machine and doesn't want us to become famous or pursue our passion. He wants Three Days Grace destroyed.

Brad: I believe you, but I don't understand how, I don't understand anything....

* a dark figure appeared in the forest they were passing by, softly laughing*

Neil: do you hear that?

Brad: what?

Neil: shhhhh
*they both looked into the forest as the figure disappeared in a cloud of smoke laughing, but this time Brad had seen and heard it.

Brad: wha- ? Who- *brad was speechless*

Neil: that's Trevors shadow *Neil whispered quietly*

Brad: * he slowly turned to Neil* I- I believe you Neil

Neil: * he nodded*

Brad: is that actually Trevor because it looked a little "misty"

Neil: I think it may be a time remnant or something related like that

Brad: what's that?

Neil: ok there's this show on Netflix in the future called "the flash"
And Barry and zoom have these things that they can make and it's basically a clone but not the real them

Brad: ooohhh, makes sense

Neil: that means Trevor isn't really here he can only be one place at one time so maybe he's watching us through a like camera or a mirror like the evil queen from once upon a time

Brad: * brad looked so clueless*

Neil: Brad? Just accept it and don't ask questions

Neil: Trevor can't harm us physically but he can change our future

Brad: Neil? *he had a scared look on his face* what if-

*Neil cut him off*

Neil: don't even think about what Trevor can do

Brad: *the scared look disappeared* alright

Neil:*he waved goodbye as he reached his house* I'll cya tommorow Brad

Brad: alright bye

*Neil walked inside did his homework and went to bed thinking about all that happened*
